scheduling and such

Well, it’s official. I have an internship for the summer! Yes, folks, a real, paying, 8-5 job. Dreamergrrl is entering the work force. And you said it would never happen… (and now some say “took you 21 years…”). Hey, I think I’ll be making up for lost time, so give me a break. I’m actually extremely excited about this internship, though. It’ll be a great experience, it’s a GREAT company (we’re talking one of the top 5 companies in the U.S.), and it’s the exact location I wanted for now. I will admit, though, that I’m a bit sad that I’ll never experience a summer break again. Well at least for awhile.

I have to register for classes tomorrow. Technically my registration begins at 7am, but I’m not entirely sure I want to get up that early, so we’ll see. The schedule? I knew you’d ask:

Software Engineering (CSA 472)

Compiler Design (CSA 474)

Algorithms (CSA 464)

Automata, Formal Languages, & Computability (CSA 473)

Small Group Discussion (COM 231)

This may make me look suicidal – I’m really not. Although it may kill me off regardless. I could’ve taken Physics instead of algorithms, but they were only offering it at 9am 4 days a week, so I’m hoping more sections are offered spring semester (which is usually the case). I have a history of skipping 9ams… 0:) And physics, being one of those classes I should probably attend as to not fail, I figured I would wait for a better time.

I’m going to go back downstairs and hope Chris finishes working. I kind of left in a huff 30 minutes ago… I wasted an hour down there lying on his bed half-sleeping thinking he’d be done with his work in less than an hour. I was wrong, decided to come up here, and um, I think he interpretted that as me being pissed at him. But I’m not. I’m just tired and cranky and frustrated that I convinced myself he’d eventually stop to at least kiss me during that hour. Heh.

You’re a programmer? If so, i respect the hell out of you but do not envy you. My few months experience with it was the most mind boggling thing ever, like a language i could never understand, and still dont.
