My relationship is a casualty of Harry Potter
Since about 3:30pm today I have been single. I will continue to be single until Chris finishes reading the new Harry Potter book.
I really fuckin hate Harry Potter. I really truly hope she kills him off in this one. I hate the 1.5 movies that I saw, and I refuse to read the book. The ridiculously dumb names grate on my every nerve and if I have to see one more person stand in enormously long lines to see a fucking Harry Potter movie or buy a fucking Harry Potter book I’m going to go ballistic. There are so many good books out there! Go fucking read a different one! I mean seriously, you can’t wait a month to read this fucking book? Jesus christ do you really need to read this in one sitting? Do you do that with any other book?
I love reading… I’ve been up many a late night reading and finishing books… but that’s always been a spur of the moment kind of thing. Before he even bought the dumb thing Chris knew he was going to stay up until all hours of the night to read it. THERE’S STILL SUNDAY. Meanwhile I’m bored out of my goddamn mind. I’ve play piano, I’ve played bass, I fucking cooked dinner (and I never cook), I played Addiction Solitaire (shockwave.com) for an entire 2.5 hours, which is 2 more hours that I would like to admit. I’ve got nothing left! I could read, I supposed – I’m in the middle of two different books – but I’m just not in the mood right now.
And of course Chris is taking up the couch so I can’t even watch a movie.
Agh agh. Darn you, Harry Potter – darn you! I want my fiance back.
(indecision)
i don’t get what the fuss is about the books either. i read the first five. they were okay. i couldn’t read the sixth one because i couldn’t get interested. i don’t see why people are so obsessed and wait in lines for the book and read it in one day. i love books, but i’ve never waited in a line for one. and i don’t think the harry potter books are worth the hype. it seems so silly.

*random noter* he doesn’t die unfortunately, it’s the whole “lives happily ever after” thing… I never read it, just got my friend to tell me, so that i can at least know what they’re talking about… I also don’t see the point in paying the huge release price for it – wait a couple of weeks and the price will decrease dramatically! Nineteen Minutes is a good book, better than any HP book =)

not entirely accurate.. he “dies” for a little bit, but chooses to return to continue fighting evil and improving lives… it really is quite addicting 🙂
