I want to be in love in the movies!
Well, good news! I’ve gotten the annual fall “Andy thing” out of my system! Yay for me! Let’s see, I’m ok with my mom now, and my sister’s leaving tomorrow! 🙁 I’m going to miss her so incredibly much. I’m closer to her than anyone, and always will be closer to her than anyone.
We do this cool thing – she speaks/types to me in Spanish, and I respond in German. Somehow we can manage to actually have decent conversations doing this, but I believe with all my heart that it’s not because we’re that great at deciphering a million languages at once. We can use some logic, but I’m convinced that half of our understanding comes from just knowing what the other is going to say before it’s said. It’s scary how well we know each other, and I love it!
Tonight my family went out to dinner at Cooker – it was excellent as always, but I didn’t even eat half my meal. I don’t get it, but whatever. Then we went to see Bagger Vance. It was actually a pretty good movie. (Heh, any movie is fine with me if it allows me to stare at Matt Damon for 2 hours!) It was a cute movie though, despite it’s unfortunate effect of inspiring my parents to want to golf in the snow… (whatever).
Last night we watched Miracle on 34th Street. Did I already mention that, or was it in my other diary? Hmm, well anyway, it was the remake, which I absolutely adore. The little girl is so incredibly adult – it’s so cute! Then again, I get sooo upset when Dorey calls Brian a fool! Ahhh, I just want to raise my hand and call out – “Oh, but I’ll marry you Brian! Don’t listen to her!” My sis and I can’t figure out why he loves her anyway, lol. My favorite line is when he says he just got some new mistle toe, and offers to take her to help him try it out. Lol. She declines that, too… what the HECK is wrong with that woman?
I BELIEVE!
Hehe, just had to add that…
In Sleepless in Seattle I recall Rosie O’Donnell saying, “You don’t want to be in love, you want to be in love in the movies!” It’s so true. It’s the whole Meg Ryan, Cary Grant, Hugh Grant, in the movies in love scenario. I mean, come ON, no one wants to just be in love… being in love in the movies is what REAL love should feel like!
Right, well I’m going to attempt to not write anymore for tonight. (Like that’ll happen… you never know though.)
As always, in the past, in the present, in the future, forever,
~swept away in the movies~
