Happy 600th entry!

I’m really tempted to reprint an entry from, well, almost exactly two years ago, in which I describe the hells of pit-life. It’s entitled “The dark, lifeless pit”… I think. Indeed, it was entitled that. In fact, I’m so convinced that it is worth reposting, that I will just give you the link… I’ll feed you the words you need.

”the dark, lifeless PIT”

Good. Now go read it, and I’ll continue where I left off. *waits a good 5 minutes*

I suppose I should edit what you just read a little. Instead of Into the Woods, this year we’re putting on Once Upon a Mattress. Quite a different thing, but to be honest with you, just as crummy. I really don’t enjoy these musicals where someone was too lazy to invent their own story and just stole a fairy tale to destroy. Now, this entire situation of stupid choir-pit music that is in a completely insane key is only compounded by the fact that I’m practically sight-reading the music. “Why?” you ask. First of all, let me say Nashville and Chicago. That means I missed two Monday rehearsals, as well as both Tuesday rehearsals following those Mondays… mostly because I was always so exhausted from the trips. Then I got sick last week… which meant I missed the Thursday rehearsal as well. What are we saying? Basically I missed three rehearsals last week, one the week before, and two the week before that. I don’t know my music, I don’t know the musical, and our first performance is Wednesday. One more rehearsal? WHAT? AHHHHH…

I definitely had the longest phone conversation of my life last night with Alex… I can’t really tell how long it lasted, but I’m relatively positive it was around 3½ hours. I called him at around 8pm, and we talked until 10:43… at which point he had to leave… and then I called him back at 11:15. We then proceeded to talk (both actually in our beds with the lights out practically falling asleep) until 12:04. I love how we can talk forever and never run out of things to say. I love that we’re best friends… that we’re more than best friends. That we can go off and hang out with each other and our friends, and then can be alone and kiss be a couple. The entire concept of our relationship is just perfect. I can’t even stand to think that I’m leaving in 5 months. Only 5 short months.

On a side note, HAPPY 600th ENTRY! It has been 2 years, 6 days, and 600 entries since I first started this diary. Isn’t that incredible? Lord, I’ve changed in 2 years. (Don’t even start with me on the word changed… I’ve given up that fight… I don’t wish to bring it up again.) I’ve grown so much… emotionally, mentally… creatively. So much has happened, so many friends, so many experiences… I can’t even begin to contemplate all of it. All I know is I’m happy right now.
