“dearest, loveliest” Feel free to call me that.
Ahh, Pride and Prejudice strikes again.
Snickergirl, you really shouldn’t get me going on such things again! Was it not enough for me to obsess over that book for at least a month? Lol… yeah so where’s Mr. Darcy. And in case none of you got the hint from the title, feel free to call me “dearest, loveliest Elizabeth” or preferrably my name where I put Elizabeth, but you know, whatever. Elizabeth is my middle name, so it all works.
Lake effect was hard at work today. I went out in my yard (quite bundled up) with my camera and the snow was darned high – at least a foot, if not a little bit more. I *love* to take pictures! I get camera-happy. Especially with a 140 zoom and panoramic capabilities. It just makes me very aware of the world when I trudge around finding pretty things to take pictures of. I mean, what could be greater than wasting film on masses of white, but gorgeous, cold stuff that I see for the majority of the year anyway? Hehe.
Like I told Aims, I’m getting very giddy tonight. I’m totally in the mood to talk to Andy… or get a hug from Andy… or just… YEAH. However, Andy’s over there, and I’m over here, and it’s Andy, and you know what? It’s all because he makes me feel good about myself. I mean, he really does. He’s wrong for me, I’m wrong for him, but he always manages to boost my self-esteem. No one else (and parents don’t count, I’m sure we all agree) would ever compliment me the way he does… and they never do. It’s like I cling to the fact that at least ONE guy in the world finds me remotely attractive. Isn’t that a stupid and pathetic thought? Not to mention totally materialistic. It’s the kind of thing I would write in my (what am I trying to say?) real?? diary, but wouldn’t normally want people to read. But hey, you know that’s the kind of thing that you just learn to deal with in the OD. I think it’s a very healthy thing to… to feel comfortable enough with yourself to actually let other people know what goes through your head. (Hehe, no matter just how scary that may be :). )
Hmm, what Christmas song shall I quote in this entry? I haven’t meant to use one in each entry, but as that is what has been happening, I might as well continue spreading such premature Christmas joy! Lemme think…
Over the river and through the wood,
To Grandfather’s house we go!
The horse knows the way
To carry the sleigh
Through the white and drifting snow!
Over the river and through the wood,
Oh how the wind does blow!
It stings the toes,
And bites the nose
As over the ground we go.
Over the river and through the wood,
Trot fast my dapple gray!
Spring over the ground
Like a hunting hound,
For this is Thanksgiving day!
Over the river and through the wood,
Now Grandmothers’ face I spy!
Hurrah for the fun,
Is the pudding done?
Hurrah for the pumpkin pie!
Wasn’t that a lovely Thanksgiving tune? I thought so. I was racking my brain for a wintery but not quite so Christmas-y song, and it just came! I was like, of COURSE, a wintery THANKSGIVING song. What could be more perfect?
Hehe… as always,
~swept away under a pine tree with snowy branches~

i like that poem too.. we memorized it for english this year. there’s two more stanzas though.. they’re sort of obsolete so it doesn’t really matter. i’m impressed that you knew that many as it was! lol

Oh my god, funny story about the “hurrah for the pumpkin pie…” I had this large English teacher, and she made us memorize and recite that poem and always cheered when we said “Hurrah for the pumpkin pie!”
