a non-OD OD entry

So I started a new website shortly before the wedding, and it includes a spot for a blog and all that. I’m not switched over yet, and I may never (it’s more of a fun sandbox for website dev and all that), but I just wrote a second entry up there and thought it would be redundant to not use it. Because I would tell you the same thing here for the most part? Here ’tis:

Chris and I got pre-approved for our mortgage, which is very exciting! We’re going out to see 3 townhomes with our Realtor tomorrow. I know, just from seeing them online, that none of them are “the one” yet, but that’s a good thing in a way. We need just a little more time to get our finances prepared. Not to mention we really need to clean our entire apartment to make packing easier. GOD I have no desire to pack up. Ugh that will take for ev er.

But anyway, still cool to get out and see the first ones. Renee will better understand our wants, needs, and our perception of places in general. That will help us narrow things down a bit more I hope.

I’m really on the fence between Hillary and Obama right now. I was an avid Obama supporter, but a couple things in the past few days are swaying me more toward Hillary. Agh! I’m so undecided. I know a ton of people have switched last minute, and I now think I may be one of those people. We’ll have to see.

I’m going to get way too confused if I try to keep up this simultaneous blogging. Thing is though, that website will be much less private. It’s my real name, it’s linked in Facebook, it’s the external me. OD will still be my sanctuary for the most part. To be honest I’m really not sure what I want to do with the website yet, but it’s fun to have and it looks pretty. So there!

In case you’re curious, here’s a screenshot of the design:

I’m actually surprisingly pleased with it. It’s my favorite that I’ve done to date, but Chris disagrees with me. He thinks it does not look professional at all. Pfft. I love it.

OK the new SNL is on, so I’m going to go. It’s either that or I might do some more Chinese learning. We shall see, we shall see.

(indecision)

hey there… totally down for a bookclub.. specially since i get the feeling that this one would have to be more intellectual than mine, considering the people involved 🙂

I’m so jealous! I wish that we could find a way to buy a condo (I don’t do mowing the lawn, etc). Good for you! I suggest starting to pack little by little. First the Christmas ornaments, etc. You won’t miss them, since you can’t use them. It’s a lot easier to do a box or two a day now, then a mad rush in the month before you move. RYN: To me, an “authentic” wedding, is one wherethe color of the cummerbunds can’t ruin the whole day. Hugs,
