CEO’s Visit

We had our President and CEO’s visit yesterday. We all were pretty scared as we were told he was a very aggressive and strict guy and blah blah blah. I meant, we were told that we were going to meet some evil guy lol.

He is a guy from Singapore who put our company on the first place there while it was making a loss of $23 million when he had joined it two and half years back. He has proved himself in Korea too in the past. After, his current success in Singapore, top management from Stamford, USA decided to bring him into the Indian market so that we could make some profit here too.

We had started this year with the loss of $56 million in India and right now, we are sitting at the loss of $32 million in the books so not a bad start for this new guy, since we have recovered the loss of $24 million in first three quarters, a big achievement I must say :-).

He is foreseeing to reach the break-even-point by the end of this year by cutting down the capex and head count. Hopefully, we will start making profit by next year onwards and increase our NI too :-).

We all are very thankful to him for bringing back the credibility that we had lost in headquarters in US. They were planning to shut down the business or looking for a partner but this guy is amazing 🙂 and India is again the target market :-).

He seemed very focused and to-the-point person to me, the views and plans he shared with us were very new and bright too. He told us he was there to make profit not for the charity lol.

The only bad point I could think of is, he was not smiling at all, even though there were times when the rest of us were smiling and few like me laughing too but he was with that wooden face lol as if we were stupid enough to laugh just like that or our sense of humor was weird lol. Seemed he had come there just after watching the Terminator II, the famous Arnold look lol.
