Another festival to celebrate :-)

But only if you are in India haha. Yeah, we Indians have a lot of festivals and one of them is today. It’s called “Karwa Chauth” and mostly married women celebrate it for the long life of their husband J. I was told that some unmarried women fast too thinking there “would be husband” would be somewhere so why not fast for his long life but I think it’s not logical or might be just a fashion statement.

Well, they fast the whole day without food and water which starts sometime before the sunrise and lasts until the moonlight. And once the moon is seen, they break their fast and cool thing is their husband put the first bite in their mouth haha.

It might sound funny here but it’s a cool and lovely day to celebrate lol.

And yeah, since women will be women only, they put a lot of make-up on; wear new and glittery saris and showy jewelry too with some henna work on hands lol.

I am sure few of them don’t even know the significance of it and just like to enjoy the festival, which is funny but fine.

Though I don’t know much about it but like the festival so thought to write about it. I will leave you with some links if you want to read more about it.
