I’m a little freaked out right now. Yesterday I went for my annual mammogram and they found some ‘calcification’. Apparently, I had it last year although no one told me and its changed since then. So, I’m scheduled for a needle biopsy tomorrow afternoon. I’m scared!
prayers for you. i have some calcification too. they always want a recheck of it and once i had to go for a needle biopsy but when they went to do it, they couldn’t find anything to biopsy. take care,

Praying for good report and for peace for you.

odds are with you that it’s nothing. Speaking as an 8 year survivor, odds of actually finding “something” are less than 10% J

Been there; done that. Calcification is pretty normal. Chances are good you’ll come out of this just fine.

Dont freak. Most of the time these are benign. I’ve had at least 5 needle biopsies – all benign. Painless except for the shot to numb you but thats not bad.

Good thoughts and prayers will be with you.

*HUGS* It all depends on what type of calcification it is. There are tons of benign calcifications, even if they change. Hang in there!
