upcoming trips!
I’m looking forward to the days where I can really enjoy myself. It’s all starting to happen. Oh, let me count the ways…
This weekend: the Ultimate 90s party, complete with cds filled of music from Sublime, Third Eye Blind, Aerosmith, Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, and Green Day. I’m wearing a vintage Aerosmith shirt and Matt’s wearing a Smashing Pumpkins shirt. The party is over at Angela’s bf’s house. Jules should be there with Fred. I cannot wait 🙂
St. Patrick’s Day weekend: A visit to Dallas to see Abby and Nick. Saturday morning, we are hopping the train to take us over to the parade site. Green beer and mini chats with Abby’s friends will ensue. I made my own shirt via zazzle.com. It says I SURVIVED AN IRISH CHILDHOOD. I think it’s hilarious, but we’ll see how many people live for a dry sense of humor like I do.
A weekend in April: A FULL shopping weekend with mom at an outdoor shopping mall in San Antonio. WOOOHOOOO!!
Memorial Day weekend: Leaving for San Francisco to meet up with Woody (Matt’s bestfriend/best man from England) and his girlfriend. Going to a winery, Alcatrez, etc.
4th of July: Tubing the river with Jeri in San Antonio. Staying at the Omni by the riverwalk for an unbelievable deal. I"M SO EXCITED!!!
I did an expense report and should be getting $4,000 back soon. We need this $$!! Thank goodness it’s on its way.
I think January and February are hard months b/c it’s cold and dreary and everyone seems broke after Christmas. These little excursions will help me get through these dark months.
The healthy eating is back. I realize just how MUCH I eat. I eat more than Matt somedays. So I’ve significantly cut back on EVERYTHING and hope that by the time we’re in San Fran, I’m 10 pounds lighter. It’s really tough for me to cut back. I talk about food from restuarants in everyday conversation. My mom rode with me during work the other day on my first "back to healthy eating" and was like, "Ash, enough!!" 🙂 when I talked about food.
Alright, I’d better pack. I’m headed to Austin this afternoon. I have to ride with the other Houston rep (she’s the country one), and I think I’d better pop a valium to control myself from slapping her. lol.
Adios!
LOL about the valium. Woman, some days…we just NEED to slap the shit out of someone! I say…go for it! haha… and lots of trips! how exciting!!!

Wow, you’ve got lots lined up! That all sounds like so much fun. And the shirt–freakin’ hilarious! I’m all about the dry humor. 🙂 I need to get on the ball–I’ve been eating way too much lately–what/how have you cut back? I’m just always hungry–how do you handle that? I don’t do very well–when I’m hungry, I need food–stat. I talk about food (as we can see!) all the time too. 🙂
