Sunday hacking

We went for a family hack on the horses today, it was really nice for the most part. We got to the yard and got all our jobs done before we went so when we got back we could just turn them out and be on our way.

There was 6 of us that went on the hack round the country lanes, it was really pretty the sun was shining. Hubbies horse he was on is a thoroughbred and abit scatty so he had a few moments where she would just spin round coz she was getting agitated being at the back. The horse I was on kept putting her head to her chest testing me, so I had to keep shortening my reins and lifting my hands higher to keep her head up but she nearly pulled me out of my seat several times as she’s so strong. Me and hubby have the least experience riding so we’re still learning. Our daughter has been riding for 6yrs (she’s 11) and she’s teaching us 😂

Once back to the yard, sorted their dinners and headed home. Made some food, lit the wood burner and watched a movie followed by a lil nap. It was a lovely day.
