Not myself

So I’m feeling off, like I’m not sick but I feel like I’m coming down with something but I’ve felt this way for over a week now. Feel absolutely exhausted and unmotivated. My body aches.

I made myself go to the gym today, just did a 30min cycle and 30mins weights. The weights felt so heavy – I didn’t push it as I knew I needed to save some energy for my yard jobs.

Straight after the gym I went to the yard, filled the wheelbarrow with some hay and walked it up to the field my horses are in. They spotted me and came straight over for a snack. I laid the hay out in their hay crates and gave them some fuss before I went to poo pick. I walked to the far end of the field first and worked my way back picking up their poo, music playing, fresh air, Beautiful view and great company (the horses lol) it was actually therapeutic. It’s honestly a job I don’t mind doing aslong as it’s not raining lol. New rule on our yard is that the horses need to be stabled every night from tonight onwards til next year (the winter months) so ugh.. I hateeee mucking out stables. When my husband leaves off work it’s now dark so poo picking isn’t possible as we have no lighting on our field or land (just some shitty barn lights) so I’m gonna go up in the day and poo pick the field as they’ll get turned out 7am-5pm. Hubby will have to do the stables some days as it’s a lot to do on my own with my health issues. I’ll try do the stables aswel and haynets etc when I can. Luckily in the field we’re in now we have a water feeder for the horses, our normal field we didn’t have that so I had to push a massive barrow full of water containers and haynets full of hay up hill and bumpy terrain just to get to our field, it was exhausting and sweaty work. The top of the hill we had to then turn and often lost momentum on the corner and fuck it was hell trying to get going again. Once at our field we still had a trek over the bumpy ground and long grass. So everyday is a workout, our yard is on an old farm grounds so all the floor is uneven and slopey, not great for those with health things going on.

It’s hardwork having horses but I can’t lie and say I don’t enjoy being around them, it’s worth it.
