Half a glass
So one of my housemates just offered me half a glass of wine. Apparently it was 9$ at the grocery store and it’s from Ontario, and it’s good. Also, he’s in his room, so I am drinking this glass of wine by myself. I think I am an alcoholic for the next 10 minutes haha. Oh well. We all gotta let loose once in a while, right?? haha
Well what is new? I did my first volunteer shift at the Blood Donor Clinic. I really liked it. It’s nice interacting with people again- even though they are drained of ALL of their blood and about to die! Haha I kid I kid. But the minor chatting was a nice change. I was also volunteering with a new guy (it was both of our first shifts). He’s cool. He’s an engineering student with some time off, or something like that. He told me, but we all know my memory! Anywho, we were talking about me moving here and such and he offered to introduce me to some of his friends over Chinese buffet! Excited? I think so- for 2 reasons, really: meeting new people, AND Chinese buffet! Either way, it should be a good time. I’m excited. That should be happening either this week, or next week.
Other then that, not too much to report. I went to a talk tonight about Stress Management. Since I’m not really stressed, it wasn’t the most interesting, but for future reference I suppose it’s handy. I am still looking for a job- I really need to find one. I probably should be stressed about it some more, but still not really. I’m not sure if that’s good or bad. We shall see. I’m awaiting a call from Build-a-Bear Workshop soon so we shall see. I’ve also applied to other places, so hopefully I get a call from someone.
Still loving it here. Still reading up on Halifax history so when I go walking around, I am full of useless knowledge…for myself haha.
ryn: haha I know eh?! yay for volunteering! though I think I would probably pass out working in a blood donor clinic.. I don’t handle needles well.
