The Hamilton Tiger-Cats officially clinched both a spot in the 106th Grey Cup Playoffs and a home playoff game Monday after the Montreal Alouettes’ 12-6 loss to the Calgary Stampeders. The Tiger-Cats have now made the playoffs in five of the last six seasons (2013 to 2018), hosting a home playoff game in each of those campaigns.
With four games remaining in the Canadian Football League’s 2018 regular season, the Tiger-Cats (7-7-0, 14 points) trail the Ottawa Redblacks (8-6-0, 16 points) by two points and can finish no worse than second in the CFL’s East Division. The Ticats and Redblacks square off two more times this season in Week 19 (Friday, October 19 at Ottawa – TD Place Stadium) and Week 20 (Saturday, October 27 at Hamilton – Tim Hortons Field – TICKETS).
Hamilton will host either the Eastern Semi-Final Sunday, November 11 at 1 p.m., or the Eastern Final Sunday, November 18 at 1 p.m. at Tim Hortons Field. Tiger-Cats season seat holders will have exclusive presale access to purchase additional playoff tickets starting tomorrow morning (Tuesday, October 9) at 11 a.m. Ticats All Access members and CFL insiders will receive a presale opportunity beginning Monday, October 15 at 11 a.m., and the general public onsale is set for Wednesday, October 17 at 11 a.m. Tickets for Hamilton’s final two regular season games and the home playoff game at Tim Hortons Field (when available) can be purchased at http://www.ticats.ca/tickets or 905-547-CATS (2287).
