Feeling Seen
When all of us were in Chicago, the traffic was ridiculous. We were moving about a foot a minute, and outside my window I saw an older black man sitting on some steps with people walking quickly by him. He was using sign language, but he wasn’t deaf. My little girl asked me what he was saying and the van grew quiet. They all wanted to know, but it was so sad I didn’t want to tell them.
He was saying all the people walking around him were really dead, and they were infecting him. He was saying he would be walking dead soon. He said money is what made us dead. The quiet van was waiting for a reply…and my sister and I had spent an awful morning lost…so I lied and said he was talking about these dumb tourists he saw wandering around Chicago, lost…and how the little sister should have listened to her big sister. They laughed,
I caught his eye, and I gave him the sign "I love you." He stopped his signing and he blew me a kiss.
Wow! Interesting!!!

Ah, I am glad you signed I love you to him. If it only gave him a moment of peace, it sounds like a special moment for both of you.

RYN: There is nothing within five miles of me, NOTHING. I live in the country. The closest neighbor to most people here is five to 250 acres away. There is a gas station, and a dairy queen. The high school students have them covered, the next closest thing is over 30 miles away, seriously.

RYN: Anytime a teenage girl spends the night at my house, or he can find my daughter’s friends on facebook he adds them, tells them how beautiful they are and that he just wants to be there for them. Yuck! He is a sick man. Other than that, I could care less what happens to him. I am so glad we are not together anymore. The thought of him grosses me out.

RYN: Yay! Its such a sad tale- the man and the walking dead story. But at least you could lift his spirit a little.

Hey, I’ve been writing everyday. It has been about nothing, but it is something to me, because it is life, maybe if I can write what is going on, where I go, how I feel I can manage to find some kind of balance. HaHa! I mentioned this at church about balance and Karma, and you can imagine how that all went. LOL. It was funny though as I could see my dear BFF smiling at what was going on from adistance. I’m sure you felt it in the bottom of your soul. 🙂
