Meanwhile in Melinda Land…

Hi everybody! This week I went and saw the Topeka High drumline at the library (on Wednesday I think??) and went to jazzercise on Tuesday and Thursday.  Since I was an hour early to see the drumline, (I got to check out a bunch of pretty little liars like library books, despite that the auditorium was still standing room only.) My kindle cord broke down like WEEKS ago, and I am only now getting around to replacing it.  (A new one is coming on the 29th) Because of that, I am letting BOTH my kindle HDs run down and am using my new ipod touch ( 😃) that I got for my birthday in it’s place.  I am doing pretty good on the score sheet for the adult reading program, despite the fact that I had to go to doctor’s appts. instead of going to the library farmer’s market.  THAT would have been a lot easier than anything, because now to get a Kindle HD from the library (or to at least be entered into a drawing to win one) you have to have TWO stipulations. ONE:you must have TWELVE hours reading (no problem! I earned that badge in like two days!) as well as have TWELVE experiences, whatever that means.  I’m guessing it means go to twelve library events between May 31 and July 31 or something, but since I don’t have a kid, I think I’m being singled out.  I might to go to the farmer’s market again on Monday just to browse but that would only make six experiences.  (::sigh::) I keep thinking “What would I do with like, three kindles??? I would at least sell ONE.  Seriously, that seems like a bit much, especially when you don’t have a cord to charge with.  (😩)  Despite all that, the drumline was cool, and I still have got to plug through several books so I will see everybody later!

Love,

Melinda
