Year In Review 2006 Part 2

June

I cut back on my hours at the petstore.  I also found out that I would have to have surgery on my left wrist.  Rob and I went to a Firefly / Serenity screening.  When we returned home, there were millions of fireflies rising out of the feilds around our house, and my favorite fish, Firefly, had died.

July

We set off our fireworks and watched the big ones around us.  MIA the cat attacked Chaos the dog and was injured, resulting in a trip to the emergency vet.  Rob slipped in laundry detergent and ended up going to the ER to.  I updated my neglected website again.

I had my left wrist surgery on the 31st.  I had the worst time getting  IV’s in (took an hour, I got sick, felt faint, they almost gassed me then got the IV’s but the anesthegiolost was able to get them in without putting me under first).

August

The summer heat made me extra miserable for a little bit after surgery.  We enjoyed cookouts and bonfires in our backyard and celebrated the 1 year anniversary of Rob almost dieing.

September

I tried to start recording my symptoms / feelings to discuss with my rhuematologist, I also resumed keeping a food log.  I started cleaning the building where Mom works, and started thinking about maybe starting my own business.  I was also still thinking about making my hobbies profitable.  We celebrated my birthday by driving from fish store to fish store, I bought 3 fish.  My paretns bought us a huge load of stone to redo our driveway.  It was an odd gift, but definitely needed and appreciated.  We also, for the first time in a long time, went out to eat with my parents, my brother and my sister.  It was Mom’s birthday and probably the best gift we could have given her.

I also started the insane project of knitting scarves for everyone for Christmas.

October

Our roommate, Karen, brought home her pup Pandi.

November

It was another busy month for us.  I got an ear infection, that’s lasted months.  We went to the zoo and got to see the baby elephants. Rob hit a deer and totaled his car, we ended up buying him a very nice used truck.  I took some time out of scarf knitting to knit myself a stuffed turkey.  Of course I went back to knitting up scarves like mad.

On the 26th, Rob had a stroke, of course we weren’t sure at first, because the local hospital really dropped the ball.  It took about a week to get a diagnosis, and 10 to see a nuerologist.

December

Got in a real crucnch to get all the Christmas knitting done and wrapped, but in the end, it all worked out.

We had to put my dog, Chaos, to sleep.  Later, I got a new pupy, I was going to get the puppy anyway, now she’s just helping me through a difficult time.
