Rough day….

Rough couple of days actually.

Yesterday, Rob had something like a stroke, at work.  They called an ambulance and rushed him to the hospital.  He spent about 4 hours in the ER…. they told him that they would call me, but never did.  He called my after they got him in a room to let me know where he was and that he was spending the night.  He also told me not to bother coming down to the hospital.

So I sat at home, alone, worried about him.  Then his boss called, wanting to know what we found out… I can’t give information that I don’t have and he wasn’t very understanding about the TOTAL lack of information I had.  I mean the only reason I even knew Rob was at the hospital / had been taken to the ER was becuase ROB called me 4 hours after he got there!!

Today wasn’t really any better.  They don’t know what’s wrong.  He’s ok, but having neuro symptoms.  They couldn’t get and neurologist in to see him, or all the testing they want done tonight, so they let him go home.  They didn’t want to but he insisted.  He is very stubborn.

I am very pissed… 24 hours, 2 CT scans, 1 Doppler ultrasound later and they send him home, with no restrictions for work, and tell him to call his doctor in the morning.  Their scheduling department is suppossed to call him tomorow after they schedule the 3 tests he still needs.  Soooo frustrating…. thank God he wasn’t actually dieing… they probably would have just stood around and watched him.  Of course the nurse was pissed at me for being so pissed off when they released him.  I mean she didn’t have the phone number for the scheduling department, didn’t have anything for him to give to work, and just suggested calling a physcian in the morning.

That’s what you do for a fucking sprained knee (like I’m limping around on), not a stroke!

Oh man, I’m so sorry to hear about all that. Hope it works out. Don’t let him be TOO stubborn!

Wow… That is really worrisome… He really can’t afford to be stubborn. I’m afraid they aren’t doing enough for him, either. I agree: This is serious business! 🙁 I hope everything works out and that you find out what’s wrong soon. ~*
