Busy, busy weekend
Whew! I’m worn out from the weekend! It’ll be a restful break to actually go in the office tomorrow. *L*
Friday we spent all day driving up to Virginia and back to attend a friend’s memorial service. That was so sad, and it wore us out, too. It was important to go and bid him farewell, though.
Saturday we got up bright and early to take our grandchildren, along with some of the children from church, to a corn maze. The farm was gorgeous! We had a great time! We jumped on the huge jumping pillow, had a hayride, rode the barrel train, shot the corn cannon, and picked pumpkins. Some of the group also enjoyed the corn maze, but our 3 year-old granddaughter only wanted me to stay with her while we jumped on that pillow again. *L*
In the afternoon we helped with a reception for our sweet doctor. He wrote a wonderful book and had a reception where he talked about the book and showed slides and did a book signing. I’m so proud of him!
Then last night I went with the youth to Woods of Terror. Yikes! I screamed like about every 5 seconds. It was a scary place for me!
This morning was church, then we attended a home meeting hosted by our new minister (and my boss), and then tonight I conducted the youth meeting. I’m tired!
