Good Things

A couple of good things to talk about.

First, the girls had a hockey developmental camp here in town last weekend.  The coaches and evaluators were awesome.  One coach was from AZ and helps with the Swiss National Team.  Their resume’s go on and on.  Anyhow, the evaluator who graded JD said that she has gone to these types of events all over the country and

1. Our facility was one of the nicest she had ever been in

2. Of all the top skaters she has seen, JD is among the top of the top

3. What were her plans for college/what was her GPA?

4. Was she interested in skating at the collegiate level?

5. She was impressed with what a whole package JD was!

WOW! words that make a mommy proud.

DJ’s evaluation was not as glowing, but as we explained to her, she is just 14, and has a lot of development to go.  She is still like a colt with those long legs.  If she wants this kind of evaluation she will have to put the work in.  I think she understands.  But it is awfully hard to be a little sister! 🙁

And then, while they were doing their camp and Mr M was helping with that I went ice fishing for the first time in ages and ages.  They were having their local ice derby and I ended up getting 8th place.  hehehehehhe.   I was the only solo woman fishing.   and….I didn’t even have to catch a fish… hehehehehhe.   Hey, I won $50!  And a lot of kudos!

We are off to the MT state hockey tourney this weekend and next weekend to the ND state tourney

happy trails….

Congratualtions to JD (and you too Mom)…she must be really good because when I saw DJ, I couldn’t imagine anyone being better than her….
