For those that don’t know…

Here’s the whole story of how I ended up all over the country…the short version….

I met Pat my junior year of school (in IL). We were inseperable for all but two weeks of it all. Any how…in the middle of my freshman year of college his parents move to AZ. He goes to visit and decides he wants to move out there and work with his dad’s company. Well not his dad’s company, but the company his dad works for. Any how…I wasn’t about to throw away a great relationship because of distance, so I moved with him in June of 1998. We got married March 17 2000. I ended up going to ASU and LOVING the school, but hating the area. I was homesick alot and incrediably lonely. Pat got cancer and things started going downhill…he got laid off…got rehired….got sick…medical leave….and then forced to resign. At this point his parents had already been in VA for a few months. When he was forced to resign we decided that he would put his resume out in the world. He went for AZ, IL and VA because that’s where we have family. He ended up getting a job out in VA and so we moved. I did my student teaching out here and now teach fifth grade. It has always been our goal to move back home. Well recently Pat has been having the urge to go back to school. So we looked into it and St. Louis University has the program that he wants. So if he gets in, we’ll be moving back to where it all started. If I get a teaching job out there we will be moving back. The only thing that would keep us here is if he didn’t get in AND I didn’t get a teaching job. As of right now we are moving home. Both of us want to be there and hopefully we can pull it off. I’ve applied to several school districts on both sides of the river and hopefully I’ll hear something. Keep your fingers crossed!
