Bride-zilla? No Thanks

Planning the wedding is fun, but I’m not going to let it get stressful.  There are some point’s I’m not going to like, but for the most point, I just want everyone to have a good time.  I have had lots of ideas, and we have made quite a few decisions.  We have sent a few emails and will hopefully be booking some of it soon.  I have my wedding shoes.  Or should I say trainers (hehehe).  They are white skechers with red roses on.  They will match my dress perfectly (whichever one I choose) and I dont have sore feet.

I know there will be aspects of my wedding other people won’t like.  Me and my mum have come to blows already over things like the car.  I don’t see why i should spend £300+ on a car that will be driven for less than 30mins for the whole day.  I then got winged at about well if i’m not spending on that, there’s no point spending so much on photography (yeah, cause i’m looking at spending a fortune there…) if I’m just going to get out of a taxi. I pointed out that I am not spending more on a car than for the photo’s for the sake of a single fucking picture.  That that makes no sense, and I can make my day what I want it to be.  Turning up in an old car does not make ANY difference to my day what so ever.  If we can afford or find one reasonable enough, sure.  But it’s certainly not a priority.  Can I get that through to her though? Mums.

At least she is showing an interest now though I guess.

On thusday we had our gym induction. We was asked what we would prefer to do, our own thing, or a workout.  I opted for workout.  So for the next 4 weeks, my technogym key is programmed for me to: Ride 8 minutes on a bike (profile 3 – which means I am going up and down hills), 8 minutes on a cross trainer with the resistance stepping up every 2 minutes, 1km on the treadmill on a 5.5% gradient (it starts me at 5km/ph but I have to knock it down a little at the moment because its an awkward speed for me.), 6minutes on a stepper, and 5 minutes on a recliner bike.

I did bits of it during my induction… I didn’t do the 1st bike or the stepper, because it got quite busy.  I had a killer sore throat too, because of the swimming pool on wednesday.

Mike was only off Sunday this week and we wanted to go have a look at the church so we didn’t  go this weekend.  On monday, We went to the gym, where I didn’t manage much of my workout to be fair, I felt really dizzy.  So I cut my workout at .88km on the treadmill and headed to the swimming pool for my cool down.  It actually was a really good idea, i felt much better for it.  Got out, got showered and headed to Zumba.  Which was brill actually.  I felt like I had more energy when I got there, and it didn’t tire me as much as usual!

Tuesday it was Steven’s induction and so I headed there and completed my workout fully for the first time.  Although when i clocked out, it told me I missed 15 secs on the stepper which wasn’t true, because i did it til it told me to stop :(.  Oh well.

Am hoping to head to the gym tonight, but I don’t know if Mike will be up to it.  He’s been working late a lot recently.  Like he was there til 10 on saturday night, til 7 monday, and was in an hour early yesterday.  He is having tomorrow off instead of monday so yay!  Tomorrow, I am going to beginners Pilates (never done it before) to the gym, then aqua aerobics, super quick shower then zumba.  That dress WILL fit me!

Oh, and on a funnier (or not) note, Mike almost castrated himself at work yesterday.  He called me almost crying, A pipe snapped and hit him.  He was in pain bless.  Karma came from laughing at him though, because he asked me to "check him for damage" last night, and he is pretty badly bruised just like on his pubic bone.  And though he was "working" it would have been pretty painful for him, and I’m not that mean.

Speaking of which, I am on my pill break (starting thursday) and I’m still not on.  =S  I’ll have to test soon if nothing appears.

Love to you all, now I’ve waffled too much. xx

I can see some fights happening about how a wedding should be planned, but at the end of the day – its your day!!And you cant go expensive on everything or you’ll be poor. Photography is key, but one thing I’d consider is looking around photography schools for students. They have some good work, and are usually alot cheaper. Ask to see some samples; might save you a bit of money&still get the

photos you want! (just a thought). Zumba is fun, my gym got rid of our good instructor sadly, but it was a blast! Its more like a dance party then working out!

I think you’re right about the car I would begrudge spending loads of money for something that you’ll be in for less than an hour. A car doesn’t make the day special to me, but the pictures help you remember it 🙂 Ooh sounds like you’ve got a pretty nice gym. I’ve never heard of a gym-key system? Sounds cool. x

Weddings are ridiculous. At the end of the day, all you need is two people joining themselves together, two people to witness, and an official person saying it’s all legal. Everything else is optional. Don’t let it stress you. 🙂

It’s your wedding darling you do what you want, regardless! X

Yikes I hate hits to the jewels. I hope things go as you would like for them to. I am sure that you all will be very happy.:-)
