A Little Strange..

Feeling more than a little strange right now.  

Just a lot of mixed emotions about a lot of things.  I haven’t been myself recently.  But I’m beginning to find myself.

Mikes grandma (adoptive fathers mother) is in hospital, and she hasn’t got long left.  She’s been very ill for as long as I’ve known her (3 and a half years) and I’m going to miss her, but I wish she was out of pain.  They don’t know what’s wrong, but I don’t see her coming back from this.  It’s kinda bad though, cause it will be Mike’s first real experience of death.  He’s 25 on the 30th of this month.  I don’t have any grandparents left, He’s still got 4 full sets.  I’m not looking forward to this at all.  In turn, he’s been getting a sense of mortality, which has changed him for the better, and made us feel much closer.  I hope it lasts. 

Tomorrow his mum gets married for the 4th time.  Which I have quite strong opinions about, but thats another story.  Not really looking forward to it to be honest.  Though I do get to dress up and avoid family.  Haha.  I’m hating people at the moment.  I’m feeling super alone, but I know that I need to change as well, I don’t just expect everyone to fall in line with me. Sorry, sidetracked, wedding.  I’m playing photographer, (not happy) and I’m thinking of buying a digital photo frame for the wedding and putting some of her wedding photo’s on it.  Though she’ll sulk that we haven’t got her a present for tomorrow.

In other news, I may be moving to the lake district.  Yeah, big news.  Mike’s job is disappearing, and so he’s had to be looking elsewhere, and he’s got an interview as Displays and Maintainence manager at the Lakes Aquarium.  Exciting, but very scary.

We’re going camping near London for a week next month, and it was all set to be a really cheap holiday, until his work have told him he has to take it unpaid because since the company is being taken over in November, they won’t pay for any more holiday pay.  WTF.  So not only do we have to pay for accom, travel and fun, but a whole weeks wages.  YIPPEE.

Though, I am in a good mood strangely enough.  🙂
