Tonight & Tomorrow

Got out of work today and straight off to my parents place, my father got the tomatoes yesterday and thus was called around 8:30pm last night and told to report for mason jar washing duty at 1700 hours. You see we are about to embark on the family tomato sauce making weekend.

So at just before dusk we began our travails, my wife and son showed up and little Joe actually KNEW to wash the tomatoes! He would snatch tomatoes nimbly from the water and rub them then dunk them in the water and then plop them into the clean pot. Granted he watched my brother and Nina for a few minutes he got it right away.

And yes, I DID get photos!

I love it.

So we had pizza as our break time then back to work, I finished the jars by 8:30pm and then was off. 

Tomorrow I wake at 0600 hours and will collect bagels and my 7-11 20 oz coffee (taken regular) and join my father to get things going. the more tomatoes we cut before it gets hot the better.

Nina and my son will arrive sometime midmorning so it would just be best so we’ll have one more set of eyes on my son because I’m sure he’s going to want to experience everything tomorrow.

Nina brought little Joe to the shop today to visit me! It really made my day to see them both there, I introduced my boss and a few coworkers to my wife and son. Everyone just kept remarking on his eyes.
