The weekend & the week so far
The weekend was relatively low key, Saturday night was the highlight with a wicked romp in the bedroom bordering on baby making as we both got carried away but not before we took our precautions. But very very good.
Sunday Joe & I hung around, did laundry together and some light house work with a nice trip into Costco where we encountered a bustling mob of people yet it was the weekend before the holiday so there were all types out that day. I was out mostly for paper products and strawberries.
The little man devours strawberries. No matter how many he just goes to town.
Sunday evening Nina & I with little Joe in tow went from Lowes then to Home Depot scouting out for screening for the deck. We want Joe to be able to walk around out there but the spindles are too widely spaced, screening would make things less dangerous. Beyond this we were in the hardware department and she pulls a steel ring from the bin and says to me:
" This is the size of the one you want for my collar right?"
I think I sprung an erection the size of a winnebago when she said that.
Sometimes she surprises me.
Beyond this we politely debated the virtues of a companion gardening technique involving cucumbers and lettuce and the lean-to system she wanted to erect.
-She wanted to use premade fencing
– I wanted to use 3" x 2" grid fencing with pressure treated lumber 1 x board
I won and summarily toted around the necessary supplies until we were done.
Today at work began my low cost drastic for effect meal plan on 14 oz tuna fish with mayo & tobasco concoction for breakfast & lunch. Z
Why am I doing this?
1) Money is tight, tuna is cheap and I love tobasco sauce
2) I need to trim down and eating meatball heroes and breakfast sandwiches isn’t going to help me get there.
3) I have to eat with my in-laws for dinner and they don’t subscribe to the same nutrition plan as I plan on being on so I must counter their unhealthy food with my own choices there. I mean chinese is easy = chicken & broccoli no rice. But italian is difficult when they order pizza. Tongiht it was boston market so I was safe.
4) Goal weight is for November, 210 lbs. Difficult? Maybe, Attainable? Yes.
This weekend we have been invited to a holidau BBQ which we know simply by it’s hosts will one which will prove annoying. The last time they decided to throw a shindig they didn’t orient the seating with regard to the fact they have NO SHADE whatsoever in their backyard. Plus they are cheap and will try to put out the least amount of food so they can bring back the unused unopened packages of foodstuffs afterward. Jason’s dad Mike is annoying, and is what my father in law refers to as a "maven of dreck" which translates roughly in yiddish to a know it all of shit. I concur. Mike is also a backstabbing xenophobic asshole who despite stuffing his face full of italian food will refer to it as "wop slop". Hmm, kosher food doesn’t exactly have a gourmet appeal the last time I checked. Needless to say he thinks (all 5’2") of him that he can order folks around and tell people what to not bring. Nina and I agreed that we shall bring something extra delicious so Mike can stare at it knowing he can’t have any (Weight watchers).
We are bringing The Chocolate Balls.
It is the deathstar of our arsenal of desserts.
Ok that’s all for now.
Must give me recipe! I make bourbon balls, yum!
