The common cold

sniffle sniffle.

So Nina’s under the weather, it started last night as the common cold and has immobilized her quite soundly as she called in this morning to work and will be home all day today.

Yesterday was a trying day for us with H2, he napped all of twenty minutes and was whimpering and grumpy all day. Except to the end where his energy peaked and did a nascar like marathon around the stairs through the kitchen/living room/dining room. Over and over and each time we wondered where he got the energy in light of no naps all day practically.

I seriously counted fifty three revolutions before we put on the baby einstein video and I got him all comfy with me on the couch. But despite his sleepy comportment on the couch when Nina took him upstairs he began to cry and well we just let him.

Thirty minutes later (with infrequent check ups on him) he was asleep. He slept from roughly 9pm until 7:15am this morning.

I couldn’t believe he slept the entire night through but hey, good for me since I was on duty.

Today will consist of some vacuuming, mopping of the foyer & kitchen floor and hopefully some gym time if all goes well for me. But I’m not holding out on the gym part unless of course she’s ok with it.

It’s like 5 degrees outside with the windchill. Definately staying inside today.
