Snow…

The month of April can’t come any sooner…

So the snow had started this morning, very innocent and melting as soon as it hit anything, the ground, a tree, mud, etc. We still have the 9" +/- which had fallen last week and it is slow to disperse. There is near 40 degree weather approaching and I am hoping that this will kill the white stuff which had fallen, yet this means one thing.

Lots of mud.

Namely my back yard which has yet to be firmly seeded despite last spring’s religious observation of seed spreader & 150 lbs of sun & shade grass seed we still have a series of splotchy mudded sections. one of which is right in front of the back deck steps, this I hate.

The wood burning stove is off, my supply of pre-split wood is near exhausted and with my son in tow I honestly couldn’t go out there, even with his 1 1/2 hr nap today I would’ve still had to shovel the snow in front of the freshly cut stuff.

I’m kind of pissed off at my brother. Two months ago when I asked him for the splitter he said I still had time, well last month when I asked him, knowing I was edging closer to being out of wood he told me he didn’t have the time to deliver it. 

I have like three sawn sections of wood like 30" diameter x 20" height of wood which need splitting, on top of this I have 6" diameter branches perfect for some chain saw & splitting if I had the saw. So this is my gripe which I’ll let die here in this diary. My brother has been working like a slave lately with the snow and other work his friend has been asking him to do so honestly he really wouldn’t have had the time. I think I should’ve addressed the matter months ago by hand instead of relying on the chance to use the motorized splitter.

Tomorrow is work.

No phone call today from the other fabricator, this kind of has me pissed but whatever. I’m a good person and I can’t spew venom about something out of my hands.
