September
I have been neglecting this quiet a bunch. August was busy, between the summer work load and activities I haven’t had a moment to really write anything.
We went down to Ocean City NJ for vacation with the kids, it was so relaxing not to have to answer my phone, speak about work or think about anything other than the kids, beer, sand and waves. Things with Nina were great and I truly felt relaxed for the first time in a very long time.
I didn’t dwell on any negatives and for what seemed the first time in a long time felt happy. I don’t get a chance to be away for vacation often and being that I would be away from work for 11 days was a giant leap for me. I didn’t bother with any of my meds for stress during this time albeit it is a small dosage it would help if I was at work. I don’t want to be dependent on them but during the summer months they are my norm.
I returned to work and 246 emails. Luckily only 30 of them were real, the rest were read receipts from last minute e-mails, canvasing for materials from suppliers and crazy stone e-mails from chinese suppliers desperate to sell material in the U.S. market.
I can’t believe it is the middle of the month already. We had our first pack meeting for Boy Scouts. Joey is Webelos I while Ella is a wolf rank. My wife is heading the girl’s den while I’m co-leading the webelos den. It is going to be a busy year.
Started bicycling last week, can’t stand to be in the gym and at least with my bike I am staving off the monotony of a tread mill.
Anyhow that is all for now.
Be well.
