Nina, me, baby and NYC

 ………

Today we’ll be heading into the city to meet up with one of Nina’s friends from Ohio.
Jon comes every year with his church group and takes time to hang out with us. Now mind you,  Jon is a bit enfatuated with Disney so we’ll be meeting up with him at the Disney Store and work our way around.  I really just want to get to Nat Sherman’s cigar store, it is my favorite place in the city simply because I don’t go into the city often.

Most Long Islanders don’t on principal of how much time is absorbed simply in the trek to and from.

An hour by car and then time wasted on finding parking

An hour and 19 minutes by train and then schlepping around town or opting for a taxi.

Last night Nina made chili and being that I love chili I was a bit overzealous and took a red hot bite and burned the roof of my mouth and a bit of my tongue. No serious harm just me not willing to wait.

My brother came over last night and made peace with Nina, apologies were had on both sides. It made me feel better that this conflict is done, I’m just hoping my brother doesn’t repeat his foot in mouth moment again.

I had a nightmare last night that little Joe was playing on top of our bed in front of me and then was sucked into the folds of the sheets. I woke up and started searching through the sheets for him. Too fuckin’ real for me.

Then we heard him crying, bad teething moment for him and we were up for the next hour.

Right now, he’s bouncing around and is very chatty.
