Last night

We had a surprise party for my aunt Vera last night at my cousin maria’s house. Most of my family was there, and it was a good time. With my job it seems my contact with them has lessened,but I try to make the family functions when I can as I generally have a great time. I brought Jennifer with me, and as usual she looked stunning, especially in those jeans, but anyway I was digressing.

So towards the end of the night Jennifer asked me about my family, as she was still trying to figure out who is related to who and who’s kid belongs to who.

The question of my grandmother came up, and my cousin Maria started to explain things, and one thing stuck out in my mind, which I went to sleep thinking about.

” You would’ve really liked grandma “

It hurt to hear it. would’ve. I felt like someone ripped my heart out.

And even now, thinking about these words I get teary eyed. It hurts my mind to even think about, perhaps this explains why I don’t think about it much. *sighs* If only I could’ve met her.
