I heart you.
It’s a windy Valentine’s Day and cold to boot. Nina woke up late, ironically to the sound of H2 as he slept until 6:45am with only a wake up at 2am (?) to break it up from him going to bed at 8pm.
Scrambling she was off and little Joe and I were downstairs, warming up to the fire as I set a few more pieces of split wood in the stove.
I love that stove.
Nina will be home tonight and we will hopefully have the romantic interlude we were hoping for. I gave her the tiffany’s bracelet last night as I could not hold it in any longer and she just loved it. She was so shocked at my little gesture she just couldn’t stop talking about it. Nina never asks for anything material and beyond getting her to accept a gift it is difficult finding something she actually likes. Like many women I know she doesn’t exact go for the mainstay of the pieces from Tiffanys considering how odd alot of them are. The more classic pieces work well though, but that is a small percentage and a very expensive percentage at that.
H2 has been in really great spirits despite his cold and runny nose. He’s got phlegm build up and he coughs alot. The other day I managed to teach him to blow his boogies out his nose but hocking a loogie is still out of reach.
They say we are in for more snow come Tuesday but I’m hoping that it’s light. My brother has been racking it in with the plowing. Each time in these last two storms he’s worked 30 hours+, and at $50/hr that’s some serious coin.
Ok, time to go. Enjoy the time with the ones you love today.
have a wonderful day!……and i hope you did……glad she loved the gift
