*dusts off*

snow silently falls and seraphims scream

I know, it has been 2 weeks since I invested in an entry and things have been just happening and each time I dare to hit the "new entry" button I don’t. Things have been busy at work for the most part, we are starting to get midway through the project. Like the proverbial peeling of the apple, the skin’s gone and now we are digging into the meat.

We have another large project we are on the precipice of beginning as long as the engineer my boss met with can qualify the anchoring system and provide pricing we can get this shit going and begin measuring the project. Once that is done I’ll transfer the installer’s drawings to CAD and shoot them to the quarry in canada so they can extract blocks and begin the process.

While at work the other week I was contacted by the head hunter from two years ago who helped me get into that interview with the stone & tile company in Hicksville. Well it seems they’ve acquired another stone & tile company and need a project manager. The head hunter Bob suggested me and with little more than this they asked him to contact me. Interview is sometime in the new year. I am not worried about this possibility until it actually happens. Technically they’d have to make me a fat offer for me to go west.

In other news I have put the gears into motion and start my own interior design company. I will be meeting my first client over the new year and begin the process which will be a three phase design package. The woman seems relatively easy going and needs to have her hand held through the process but honestly I’m so cool with that it’s all good.

Other than that it is cold here. The stove is set to BLAST and is pumping heat in waves throughout the house.

Tomorrow I work, gym in the evening.

Saturday morning after the gym I will be meeting up with the printing company and get my business cards in order.

Stupidest thing said today (by my boss): " Do I have to press 1 if I’m dialing out of state?"
– I could only respond swiftly " yeah, plus the area code & number." I could only bury myself in work so much to hide the expression on my face that just screamed "OH MY GOD THIS GUY IS MY BOSS!?!?!?!?!?!?". My boss is wicked smart when it comes to construction but when it comes to common sense stuff he is light years behind, it’s kind of sad.

Life by #’s:
8 – days until christmas eve and the big bash at my cousin’s place, good times shall be had by all.
9 – days until christmas day and a cozy dinner with my immediate family
15 days until new years and an evening with Nina without the worry of work
34 days until my mom’s birthday, I need to figure something out for her
36 days until nina and my birthday
