Busy Day

So, Nina took off today and we started our day early.

Early for Nina on an off day means before 9am whereas I am wanting to get out the door before 7:30am. Little Joe slept through the night and woke at 7:00am which was great. I opened up his door and there he was standing in his crib smiling at me and waving his hands like he was at a rave or something.

Our trip to the gym yielded good results, 20 minutes on the treamill and another 10 minutes on the elliptical. I knocked out some abdominal work afterwords too which left me satisfied.

Afterwords we stopped in at the pharmacy quick to drop off some ‘scripts and then back home. Little Joe to his bed for a short lived nap and showers for us.

The afternoon was busy as hell.

– trip to middle island to check out the bike trailer Nina wanted to get to cart around little Joe with but they wanted $400.00 for it.

No way

-Costco to return the whole milk and get lowfat milk among other things. Little Joe had a really good time with all the people there, plus we selectively let him enjoy some sampling which was going on.

He Learned to use a STRAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was amazing! They had these delicious fruit smoothies for $1.45/each and I got one for each of us and let Joe get a taste from my straw, well he started sucking the contents out and Nina tried it out with him and I let her take the credit since he seemed to be having an easier time with it with her.

– Toys R Us to check out this model.

 
– Vitamin Shoppe for a multi vitamin which I got for free with my bonus coupon I got in the mail. All those points add up.

-Homeward bound and Joe finally took an 1 1/2 nap.

Daddy did too 🙂

This evening I went back to Toys R Us and got the trailer and a bike helmet for my little guy. I had to fight off the urge to get him the spiderman and the incredible hulk version and just got the black one.

Anyhow we’re home and I can say we had a good day with each other. I guess it’s one at a time….
