Taking It Easy

Dear Diary,

Today marks the last day of my mini vacation from work. It has been a nice time to say the least. I was able to get all my spring cleaning done inside and outside the house. The poor flower beds needed a really good weeding, and I feel so happy to have finally tackled that chore. My favorite part of my break was having my nose stuck in my newest Stephen King book called The Outsider! Oh wow, is it hard to put down. Luckily, I didn’t have to restrict myself to only small amounts of book time. I haven’t finished it yet, but that’s okay. I don’t want it to end. It’s that good!

Part of my small break, I did a lot of thinking about my current employer. I’ve decided I do not want to stay there anymore. My boss is unrealistic when it comes to tasks and deadlines on us. And she expects us to work shorthanded on 3 of our 6 days, so not safe for our patients or for staff. I cannot be part of this team any longer. There is so much drama and backstabbing that it makes me sick. With that being said, I jumped on Indeed and applied to a bunch of different places. I know you’re going to get drama everywhere  you work, but I also do not want to work in the medical field any longer. I’m not cut out for it. Even if I have to go back to retail for a bit, I will do that.

Today has a pretty easy going day. I’ve been trying to mentally prepare myself for tomorrow. I am already dreading it. I wish I could just put my 2 weeks notice in and be done. Unfortunately, the nest egg I had is all gone due to needing to make a few pricey repairs to my car. I’m starting to save again, but in the meantime I’m praying to get a call for an interview.

The crockpot is cooking dinner tonight, so here I am just lazing around. Laundry is all done, folded, and put away. There are a few dishes in the sink, but I’ll get to those later after dinner. Maybe I’ll get sucked back into my book for a little while before dinner. Or maybe I’ll go putz around on Pogo or Facebook. Decisions, decisions…..

Your Friend,

That Girl
