More Trouble…

So we survived the storm; power came on last sunday around 8:20 while I was at my brother’s house but Kathy texted me to let me know that it was back.

As for the damage; we lost most of the shingles off of the back of the roof and a lot of flashing; our cherry tree got hit by lightning and is gone; and our small collapsable gazebo was crushed in the wind. In addition to that I lost a full two weeks worth of grocery shopping and ended up living off of bologna and cheese for most of last week thanks to the sale at Meijers.

So after all of that happened and my family came home, I went to work for my scheduled shift yesterday and I got a text from my mom. The local convict had run his ATV into our arbor and destroyed it in the front. Sadly my parents didn’t make a police report. They worked out an agreement so he will have our cherry tree taken out and they will forgive the arbor… Seriously? I’m a little ticked off about this; the man was convicted and did time for vehicular homicide and has lost his liscense permanently and was driving. What would have happened if someone had been out there? I am seriously concerned for the safety of my kids.
