Last day for Winter

I haven’t written here much; not much going on. I am finishing up my last class for the winter JA session and am looking forward to it. I have first and fourth grades this round and the kids are all wonderful. I would almost be tempted to make this one of my main schools if I could, but I would miss the one teacher at Meadowbrook too. I didn’t teach her class this year because she had a parent who wanted to do it. I hope to be back in her classroom again next year.

I head to my favorite classes this next week. I have three teachers I’ve volunteered with for the last few years and I just love it. Sadly I got an e-mail from one of them that she is retiring at the end of the year so this is my last round with her; I’m going to have to work to make this one special for her. Her daughter passed away about two years ago to cancer and she seems very connected to her remaining children which is probably a good thing for her.

I’ll be teaching five classes there two new teachers to get to know but I have one of my regulars between them which is a good thing. No high anxiety through a full hour.

I hope you have a wonderful last round with the teacher who lost her daughter. I’m sure it will mean a lot to her.
