Hello Spring!

So I started my spring JA classes yesterday a week and two days late because we had snow and ice cancellations the first two Mondays and I was just frustrated enough that I e-mailed all five teachers to ask if they would mind starting on Wednesday this one time.  All five teachers agreed which was a great releif so we got a taste of what we are in for. My two first grade classes have been combined and that seems to be a good thing. I just need a simple but grand feeling reward for almost 60 first graders. That will be interesting. They seem like a good bunch although the one teacher did say both classes are not easy. I ended up carrying in four bags all together… that was nuts and then I found out that one of my classes is on the second floor. Thankfully the secretaries have no problem with me staging my bags in the office between classes.  I messed up on my time for the first graders but it all smoothed out a little. I think they will be a great group with the bribe hanging over their heads and I’m only keeping them together for the lesson not the activity since they are side by side room wise. Love having five teachers in taht school this round it doesn’t seem like a long day either. Although I had to go to a kindergarten transition meeting and that made for a long day. It was worht it for the books I got though.

I also taught a second grade JA day on Tuesday (March 26) and that was a blast! I had twins come down to get me for their classroom adn they were absolutely adorable! The class went so smooth and I loved every minute of it.

I’m glad it’s going well! You’re a good person to give all that time to the schools.

RYN: Yes, they are doing a full eval. Its just everyone has been telling her for months she needs a pt eval, and it is the speech that finally spurred it.
