Cracker Barrel is Not a Drive in So Quit Trying!

LOL

I shouldn’t be laughing but if I don’t laugh my brain will think of these things that could have happened. We had our third car in twelve years breach the footprint of our actual building. I was standing in the gift shop talking to the cashier about sales (that’s my story and I’m sticking to it!) and we heard this huge thud; it sounded like thunder or something falling in the restaurant. Daniel and I went to the lattice to see if we could see anything and then Stephanie came running through the shop. Since I was wearing a radio linked to the managers I followed.

A car was on our porch.. A silver Sedan was on our porch with a lady in it completely humiliated. She had put the car in drive instead of reverse and hit the gas rather hard. Thankfully she turned the wheel hard and did not come through the wall of the shop or restaurant although she did take out one rocker completey; wrecked one of our benches and took part of the arm off of one of our other rockers. No one was physically hurt but the mental effects are probably immeasurable. I remember calling to the managers that we had a car to teh building again.

The firefighters were awesome. They helped her out of the car and then got her purse and ID out for her (she was rather shaken) and then when the tow truck didn’t show up fast enough they cleared the rockers off of the porch and drove her car off of the porch! It was a riot to watch and I suspect the restaurant was in awe of a car driving down the porch; the firefighter even got it past our barrel without hitting it! We were rather impressed. Anywho that was my Sunday this week… I wonder what the next one will bring….

wow sounds like a friend of my grandparents. The last time we visited they just recently had their porch taken out by a friend of theirs. Thank god no one was hurt.
