$70, 750

That is the amount of money it will take to get the young father across the street from me out of jail. He and his wife were charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia; marijuana possession; maintaining a common nuisance; possession of precursors; dumping controlled substance waste and neglect of a dependent plus Josh was charged with dealing meth.

According to the newspaper today they found a one pot meth lab in a cooler under their deck; a quarter pound of Marijuana in the house; a marijuana plant growing in the back yard and meth waste in one of the trash bins. It is sickening knowing that once in a great while Maddie would go over there to play (under my supervision and outside because they are both cigarette smokers). But I had no idea all of that was going on. I suspected Heroin but nothing like this.

I’ll tell you the truth, I had little respect for these people to start with; they criticized a lot and constantly broke the law regarding fires in the city but I said nothing. I gave them candles when they were out of power due to the storms on June 29; I felt bad for them when Autumn was running a fever and they had to find money for extra diapers (I didn’t have any to share). I passed on Maddie’s outgrown clothes and sleepers for Autumn to wear (Alexis is almost Maddie size) and I’m not one to call the cops, but the meth lab really bothers me.  Just putting this in for the future.

I’ll state that Sherri’s bail is $13,250. They are both 29 years old and frankly old enough to know better.

Sometimes people never grow up. I feel for the children more than the parents.
