home!!
HOME!!!!!!!!! So nice. Ok, granted it is raining right now which bites because I wanted to show Alaric all the summer sights and you can see a few of the really good ones without nice skies. We’ll try this weekend.
Got in a little after 1pm Wednesday. Let me tell you this, kids should not be allowed into airports if they are under the age of 7 and no one older than 70 should be allowed in the airport without personal help. There was an old couple in front of us, SOOO SLOW. They took over 5 minutes just to figure out who was pulling what suitcase and then they walked SLOW through the hallways. Quite annoying. Then there were all these little kids crying, screaming, fussing. I like kids and all but I really dislike those noises. The parents should have gotten later flights. No kid, no baby wants to be up at 4am and go somewhere strange.
Anyway, we got here. First thing my mom did was start to cry. I told her that she couldn’t do that since I wasn’t leaving and then I jokingly told Alaric that he was in trouble for making my mom cry 😛 It was great to see her again, I miss her a lot . Got home then was sent to go look at the land that Alaric and I want to purchase, then to see my oldest sister. The little we saw of the land we like. My sister, ugh, don’t like to be there too long, mostly because of the dogs and kids, or my nephew. I don’t mind my youngest niece, she likes to have you read to her, or color with her. The cats are ok, they hide, but the dogs…they don’t have much in the way of obedience. Jump up on you, bark non-stop, you know, the usual.
Today we went to my old summer job, showed Alaric parts of Rural Alaska and said "Hi" to my old boss and co-workers then left since things were so busy there and it was boring not getting anything accomplished. Drove the hour both ways. Went to Freddies to see if I could find a wicker laundry basket for my parents so that I could put thier stuff in it for their anniversary. I found one that could then be turned into a dog bed for Doodle. They didn’t have a price on it and wouldn’t let me get it because they couldn’t find a price on it. Freaks. I bet you tonight they will put a price on it so I should go back tomorrow and look 😛
Tomorrow I am suppose to meet up with my friend Karen to either go 4wheeling or hangout and go over wedding stuff and whatever. I would also like to do something for Summer since it is her birthday. I wish that I had money to spend right now so that I could do stuff like that.
Saturday I might go into Anchorage, scout out a few wedding sites, get information on them. Also the family was thinking about going up to Hatcherpass for a picnic. Asides from that, not much.
Sunday, we are suppose to be going to Seward and Homer. Homer will be walking on the spit and looking at my parents’ lot there. Seward will be the town and the stores, maybe the sealife center.
Monday…Denali, helicopter ride for Alaric. One of my sister’s friend’s said that he would give Alaric one of his free rides (I don’t want to take them all so I wont go). He should have a great time up there and take over 100 picturs 😛
Tuesday, Hair cut, I can’t wait. I wanted to get my hair cut before I left but I didn’t have a chance to so my mom said that my sister demanded that I get my hair cut. Fine with me. Short Cali. cut is needed, my hair sweats more than the rest of my body. Maybe meeting up with my old boss. Family time.
Wednesday, my parents’ 25th wedding anniversary, family time with maybe a little friend time. We leave that night.
Thursday, Back into SFO then back home.
Dinner, homemade enchiladas.
Oh man, the worst part of moving is the furniture. I’ll leave that to you two, unless you really need my help! As far as food, the best housewarming food is fingerfood. Make your friends do the heavy baking, and all you need is cheese and crackers. I’ll bake something, if you tell me what YOU like!

Giada’s food always looks fantastic! Maybe get a baguette, slice it thinly, rub it with garlic cloves, and broil it? That’s the quickest, cheapest brucetta! Okay, maybe Bryan and I will bring biscotti and chianti 🙂
