as the Tralfamadorians would say, [+edit]

weeell, as the title would suggest, I finished reading Slaughterhouse 5, and I would really recommend it. It was a little confusing at first, but once I got in to the story a bit it was excellent.

spent the last 4 days at Josh’s house.

As you may have gathered, these past few weeks have been a little confusing for me, relationship wise. i wasn’t sure where things stood or where they were going, or even the feelings involved, but everything kinda just fixed itself =D

His parents still weren’t home, so we played house. We did the washing and folding and cleaning, took the rubbish out, cooked all the meals, did all the washing up, remembered to water the pot plants, etc etc. And it was fun. Wednesday night we watched Hostel. Emma now thinks I’m a weirdo because I really just laughed all the way through it, where she expected me to be scared, but I just can’t take those torture and murder scenes seriously when there’s a river of fake blood spurting madly from every which angle, it just seems ridiculous 😛 Thursday josh and I walked to the shop, and he bought us pies for lunch, and Frosty Fruits afterwards. We ate them as we walked home, and they dripped everywhere and I got sticky hands, and got distracted my the stickyness and almost fell in the dam as we crossed it, haha. Cooked another roast on Friday night, only this time it was nicer because we knew what we were doing. And Zac and Emma were kind enough to do the washing up afterwards.. which may have been because of the kerfuffle that happened earlier:

Josh and I were watching TV and Zac and Emma were upstairs. it was their 1 month, and they’d exchanged expensive jewellery, which josh and I scoffed at.. And then after dinner they disappeared upstairs. And well, Emma is a loud girl at the best of times. And we’d been unfortunate enough to be in Josh’s room when Zac and Emma had started at it before, and even though we never thought it possible, she get louder. On this particular day, however, we were downstairs, as previously mentioned. then the phone rang. Josh answered it. it was his mum. he spoke for a while, and then she asked for Zac. josh didn’t really want to go upstairs because it was obvious what was going on up there, so he yelled from the bottom of the stairs. But Zac took forever to come down, and by the time he’d picked up the phone, poor little sue had waited too long, got a bit distressed, and hung up. So josh’s Dad called back.. but by this time Zac had disappeared back upstairs again. it was quite apparent that Josh’s Dad had an inkling of what was going on, and Josh had to call Zac again, and he took ages again.. But Josh had a bit of a conversation with his dad and explained that Zac and Emma had gone outside for a cigarette and had walked to the end of the street without us knowing etc etc etc, so he really covered for Zac. but the whole situation was really both awkward and hilarious at the same time. I can just imagine poor little sue’s eyes popping out of her head. Perhaps you really had to be there though. 😛

that night we cooked brownies, and they were excellent. Zac and Emma also shared our liking of brownies, however, and by the next morning they were pretty much all gone.

Today was a lazy day. it got quite hot at Josh’s house, and we spent the whole day sitting down. Josh got on xbox live and played heaps of games. I finished reading my book, and started on an Agatha Christie that I found on the bookshelf in "my room". Whenever Josh had to leave the room, he let me wear the headset to the xbox, and I got to giggle at everyone’s accents. I heard a British man say "man down, man down!", Irv, a 30-something ex-army man living in his parent’s trailer in New York ask josh if he ‘got any pussy yesterday seeing as your woman was over’, and an Australian from Sydney tell Fez, from Brisbane, why he hates Brisbane, how he always gets lost on his way to the casino, he’s currently unemployed and "do you fella’s mind if I leave for a tic to take a hit of my bong?"

seeing as Josh was preoccupied, and I had to take breaks from reading or my eyes would die, I made another batch of brownies, brought Josh glasses of Orange cordial, cleaned up after him, and for lunch I heated up some leftover tatoes and some crunchy bread rolls, and we had those along with some leftover cold chicken for lunch. i was generally housewifey and it was fun, haha. 😛

massively long entry, i think, on nothing in particular, so I might chuff off to bed now.

nighty night =)

forgot to mention my weird-ass dream.

I was at some bar with Josh and Johnyboy, just standing around talking. And then Amber (wtf? why her?) came up and started talking to us. But then Amber and I got kicked out for being underage, and we stood outside for a while, but then Amber got let back in. Alone, I started walking, and somehow I ended up in this room, full of random objects. And then, in this room, there were suddenly rats. Now, I’m terrified of rats at the best of times, but these were semi-intelligent rats, so it was much, much worse. So here I was, freaking out, when who should arrive but Boomer, accompanied by Matt R! they defeated the rats and gave me my driver’s license so that next time I could quickly escape from the rats.

.. it was weird.
