Mary asking John about word of a wedding~

After the blessing of the food, Mary couldn’t wait to pipe up, "John! Of course we want to hear all about your wanderings of the last ten years since we seen you in the Yeshiva. But first, tell us about this wedding that you have heard of."

"Mary, the man is starved. Can’t you see that he has been on his feet all day and is bone-weary," Jesus said.

John responded, "Oh, that’s ok, Jesus. I would be glad to share the good news."

Jesus thought, ‘well, we might as well get this over with,’ not wishing to interject any more of his thoughts, again.’

Jesus’ mother was having the time of her life!

John, who inherited Jesus trait of telling a good story, began…

"After walking here from Galilee, I stopped in town for a cool drink.  Many of the people there knew me from when I used to go to school, here. They couldn’t wait to share the latest story travelling throughout Nazareth. "Have you heard about Jesus and Mary Magdaline," I was asked?

"Ah, are they an item, again?"

Jesus couldn’t help interjecting, "Item, John?"

"Hey, Jesus, everyone in school knew how you two who gaze at each other like you two were lost somewhere in time, seeking only to share your souls with each other."

Jesus couldn’t help but blush. Not that John’s picture was entirely true…He was always praying for lost souls, seeking to unite them to the Father…but yes, Mary’s soul captured his soul like no one else ever did. Still, he spoke,

"John, our small community has enough of an imagination to create dramas, without you offering them such grandiose pictures of Mary and I."

"I’m sorry, Jesus. You know how I can be."

"Yes, John. Intense. Fiery. Thundering. Mystical. Romantic.."

"Yes, I’m guilty as charged. So, getting back to the news…’You could indeed say that they are an item. Mary moved back here two months ago. And for the last month Mary follows Jesus everywheres."

Mary interjected, "Yes, that’s little, young, me. Just hiding in the shadows."

John contemplated a moment, then continue his sharing, "Actually, Mary is sometimes leading Jesus,"  a young lady said, who was sharing the story with John.

John continued sharing the young lady’s story…a lady whose eyes sparkled like diamonds, John noticed.

"Yes, Mary has always been a spunky lady. A lady who gets things done. A great teacher from God! A lady even admired by many of the wisest of the wise in this small community. A rare find, many men would say. A lady who was even preaching to Jesus. And although it is almost unheard of for a woman to be preaching to a man, there she was, with Jesus just smiling at her with a look of love written in his eyes. She was saying, ‘the Rabbi will tell us that even the holiest of men who leads their congregation sees marriage as a requirement, as the one who will lead others in worship. He will tell us that you, Jesus, will remain jsut as holy as you are now, when you marry!’"  Mary then proceeded to drag Jesus into the Synagogue.

Jesus smiled, remembering the event.

While John was listening to this unfolding drama, he was being mesmorized by this angelic creature that was speaking to him…"Mary boldy said to the Rabbi, ‘Rabbi Israel, we would like to receive your wisdom on the following story of love…" The Rabbi loved listening to Mary’s stories of love. They were simply divine.

She continued, "Supposed there was a son that loved his father more than he could possibly love anyone in the world. Further suppose that this son felt that he was called to a ministry where he would dedicate his life to serving his father. And let us further suppose that this ministry’s purpose would be to bring all souls to his father. And let us suppose that this son felt that he couldn’t take upon a wife because it would disrupt his mission in bringing souls to his father: because his passion for soul-saving, would leave his wife walking in his shadows. What do you think about all of that, Rabbi Israel?"

"Mary, are you talking about Jesus?"

Mary was speechless.  Jesus was witnessing a miracle. ‘imagine Mary at a loss for words.’

"Mary, many of us who spend our lives in the ministry of God, recognized that Jesus is consume with God’s spirit. We know of his miracles that he has performed since he was very young. We know that his mysticism only enhances the idea that he has a special relationship with God. We also know that his mother has actually told you in the past, that he can’t get married to you. So, what do I think of all of that, Mary? I think that Jesus is wiser than anyone in this here town." The Rabbi reflected a moment and then said, "Yet, there is nothing shameful about a lady walking in the shadows of a holy man."

Slowly coming out of her stupefaction, Mary’s face was a Christmas Tree, as she graced Jesus with the most divine smile that she was capable of…

This one makes me smile … Truly, I believe too, that Mary is ONE (that also) leads JESUS … This is why I think I do REALLY BELIEVE that is one of the reason of why the LORD creates woman … for a purpose unknown and uncertain to us all …

This is what the LORD did tell Adam … Genesis 2:18 – 24 18) Then the LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.” 19) Out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the sky, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them; and whatever the man called a living creature, that was its name.

20) The man gave names to all the cattle, and to the birds of the sky, and to every beast of the field, but for Adam there was not found a helper suitable for him. 21) So the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; then He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh at that place. 22) The LORD God fashioned into a woman the rib which He had taken from the man, and brought

her to the man … 23) The man said, “This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.” 24) For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.

And hear this one … *smile* 1 Corinthians 11:8 – 12 8) For man does not originate from woman, but woman from man; 9) for indeed man was not created for the woman’s sake, but woman for the man’s sake. 10) Therefore the woman ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels.

11) However, in the Lord, neither is woman independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. 12) For as the woman originates from the man, so also the man has his birth through the woman; and all things originate from God. Isn’t that fantastic of the LORD? While Adam (his first manly creation) has no mother, HE created Eve in a form as a mother-symbol as well for Adam as he has his birth

through the woman (his wife) … So, while I am with the LORD, so my husband shall have his birth as well from me … and I shall give him that when he is into the LORD himself … I pray still that my husband too, shall find his birth through me to be (also) re-born as a rightful children/believer/slave of CHRIST! Yes, Amen to that! *smile*

*Thank you for this entry, Bri* It seems this paragraph you’ve written as … “Actually, Mary is sometimes leading Jesus,” a young lady said … has putting “enlightment” on me … And all of a sudden, as if my spirit being lifted by the LORD that I shall see more to understand HIM in so many ways … and that ONE WAY … HE, the LORD, has used you too, Bri, in helping me through this journey.

Wonderful entry, Bri! Love, Liz

I loved what the Rabbi explained to mary. We all can agree that Jesus is wiser than anyone. But I think he is in for a long journey of love if Mary has anything to do with it…I can just see her face lighting up after the Rabbi told her that there is nothing wrong with a lady walking in the shadows of a holy man. I wonder what will happen next.. Great Chapter

August 24, 2012

Wow, Mary was no ordinary woman…one who had deep insight on the things of life and especially on the mission of Jesus. Mary unfolded here that Jesus was a daddy’s boy whose passion was to please His Father in saving more souls and therefore she was aware that there wasn’t going to be any earthly wedding between the two of them. “Actually, Mary is sometimes leading Jesus”. I believe so ..

The Holy Spirit must have used her as an instrument that complement the passion and mission of Jesus more specifically to ensure that his “manly” character wouldn’t interfere with the “God” in him so to speak. So, the Father provided Jesus with both male and female friends to complement/complete what He was destined to do on earth. YeS, “there is nothing shameful about a lady walking in the..
