Joseph asking Jesus about the Garden~

Since Joseph was a scholar in his own right, and had studied under the best of Rabbis: he knew of the Scripture where it said:
"For he will give his angels charge over you to accompany and defend and perserve you in all of your ways (of obedience and service). They shall bear you up on your hands, lest you dash a foot against a stone."  So he asked Jesus,

"Were there angels in the Garden, accompanying and defending Adam & Eve, lest they get hurt?"

Jesus smiled.  "Yes, dad.  My father’s vision from the beginning was for the angels watch over his children. Because he knew that they would be very adventurous. And in face, they were great explorers.  The angels really had their hands full, cause Adam was quite the bumbler, stumbling over everything."

Joseph wondered, "Did they behold the angels in paradise?"

"Yes.  That was one reason why Adam was so reckless: he knew that the angels would always be there for him."

"How bout Eve?  She sounded like she was also full of curiosity, considering what happened."

"Yes.  But she wasn’t a tomboy.  She would tend to think things out, first, before she would leap into something. For instance, if Adam spotted a golden-eye hawk in the distance: to get a better view of it, Adam would leap forward, often falling over some of the flat rocks that layed besides the river, and embarass himself in front of Eve; while Eve would think, "in the past that hawk would fly right over here, to get some of that life-giving water." So she stayed and waited for it."

"So, Jesus, if Eve would think before she acted, how was she seduced into eating that apple?  And wait a minute: I got a better question. Why didn’t the angels protect Adam and Eve from the wiles of Satan?"

"Dad, you are quite the thinker.  While man was trusting in my father, he didn’t need any other protection: against the darkness of evil. Still, many of the angels were determine to fight Satan and his angels, if they ever got near the garden. The father and I applauded their loyalty, at what they felt was their job: protecting man from all evil.  But since we had given man free will, we knew that eventually Satan, who my father created to be the superior angel: would prevail in his mission of causing man’s downfall.  And in his cunningness, he preceived that Eve had only known goodness. So, ironically, that was her weakenss in doing battle against Satan. She perceived everything that I created as being good and helpful to her. So, when Satan suggested that by eating of the tree of goodness and evil: that she would be growing to become wiser and more discerning, more Godlike, and thinking that my father would be proud of her:  she plunged forward, forgetting that the father told her: "obey me in all of my words, and you will live forever."  And the impulsive Adam dumbly stood besides Eve, anxiously waiting for a bite of the apple."

Jesus tears were flowing down his cheeks, as he remembered…..

Joseph was given the gift of comforting his young teenage son.

Nice to read about Jesus and Joseph in a dad/son conversation. The discussion about Adam and Eve is quite interesting. When I first read this, I couldn’t make much of it probably because I was so sleepy. But now, well…it’s all about how a man/woman could fall right? If only we would listen and listen well and do what the Father God says, “obey me in all of my words, and you will live forever.” Lord, have mercy on us all. Thanks for sharing this food for the soul.

I really enjoy reading about Adam and Eve. This is where it all started. It was Adam and Eve that changed the world. By one bite of an apple made our world what it is today. Obey…. What a powerful word.

Adam was the first Tarzan of the Eden. 🙂 They did not really obey. Yes, Jesus cried for them …

I saw a sign along the roadside today that said, “Fear of the Lord is where knowledge begins” . . . What do you make of that?

To forgive people is easier for me (most of the time) But to forgive myself is much way difficult than anything else in this life. Guilt is part that makes it worse, you know. Oh, I pray the Lord gives me much strength and love for myself. 🙂 *Thank you soooo much for your notes, Bri. Always such a comfort to know that you are here always. :)*

I heard a sermon once that stuck with me, Bri. Quoting: “Obedience is better than sacrifice.” Isn’t that a verse in the Bible? I can’t remember which one. I enjoyed this entry very much also! Love, Liz

I really like this one Bri and will try to bring a tune to enhance the words you skilfully wrote. Also (((Thank-you)))for the birthday thoughts, I’m not so sure I deserved them but you can’t take them back. ~lol~

Thanks for your note. I appreciate that.
