I read the Koran part 4
A 2011 study by the Pew Research Center shows that 8% of Muslims in the US believe suicide bombing to be justified http://www.people-press.org/2011/08/30/muslim-americans-no-signs-of-growth-in-alienation-or-support-for-extremism/.
Part of the survey that I found fascinating is:
Overwhelming numbers of Muslim Americans believe in Allah (96%), the Prophet Muhammad (96%) and the Day of Judgment (92%). Yet the survey finds that most reject a dogmatic approach to religion. (Essentially, they are rejecting the Koran and its teachings…which for America is a good thing!) Most Muslim Americans (57%) say there is more than one true way to interpret the teachings of Islam; far fewer (37%) say that there is only one true interpretation of Islam. Similarly, 56% of Muslim Americans say that many different religions can lead to eternal life; just 35% say that Islam is the one true faith that leads to eternal life. (This would be the group of Muslims that are truly living by the commands and ideas of the Koran!)
As of 2010, there were 2.6 million Muslims in America (up from 1 million in 2000) http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/number-muslims-u-s-doubles-9-11-article-1.1071895. If the Pew study is correct, there are over 208,000 Muslims in the United States that believe suicide bombing is justified. Regardless of the exact number, this is a growing threat we must take very seriously. (What my question is: shouldn’t the police/FBI, have been notified about the Muslims that answered, suicide bombing can be justified? *smiles*)
Fundamental Islam is intent on destroying our society and will use any technique available to do so. America may not be at war with fundamental Islam, but it is at war with us. It is not racism or bigotry to ask these questions, it is common sense. Our society and our way of life is at stake and there is not much time to wake up to this threat.
This is the strongest and most hardened enemy America and the freedoms and liberties offered by our way of life have ever faced. Soviet Russia, Nazi Germany and other previous enemies of our country were all motivated by nationalism. Fundamental Islam, and its giant army of worldwide followers, is motivated by the word of their God, Allah.
Violence by Muslims against Infidels has been going on for over 1400 years, and with the technological evolution of international travel and the simplification of weapons of mass destruction, fundamental Muslims can, and will continue to, cause violence on American shores. How many more Americans must die before this truth is fully recognized and acted upon?
Robert Spencer, author of "The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam" points out that there are over 100 verses in the Qur’an that exhort Muslims to fight unbelievers; this includes ‘chopping their heads off’ (Qur’an 47:4). The verse says that Allah forgives only those who have the right beliefs, and non-believers’ actions will ‘come to nothing’. (There are 164 verses that mentioned Ji-had, at the following link. I will have to later check it out and confirm it:)

Moving on to another topic: what about the idea of love? Well, if you are guided by God…and I’m stilling trying to understand the verses where Mohammed says that God misguides some people….so, you have to be a Muslim to be love by God. Yes, listen to the following verse:
3:32 Say: "Obey Allah and the messenger. But if they turn away, lo! Allah loveth not the disbelievers (in His guidance)." There are several verses that talks about Allah not loving/hating disbelievers…and misguiding them!
58:22, "Thou wilt not find folk who believe in Allah and the Last Day loving those who oppose Allah and His messenger, even though they be their fathers or their sons or their brethren or their clan. (Unfortunately, if one isn’t a believer in Allah, one will not even be loved by their own family members who are believers in Allah. *smiles* shaking head.) As for such, (The believers in Allah) He hath written faith upon their hearts and hath strengthened them with a Spirit from Him, and He will bring them into Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide. (Paradise) Allah is well pleased with them, and they are well pleased with Him. They are Allah’s party. Lo! is it not Allah’s party who are the successful?"
In fact, a disbeliever (one who doesn’t believe in Allah) will actually be hated by his family who a
re believers in Allah, as the following verse says:
60:4 There is a goodly pattern for you in Abraham and those with him, when they told their folk: Lo! we are guiltless of you and all that ye worship beside Allah. We have done with you. And there hath arisen between us and you hostility and hate for ever until ye believe in Allah only – save that which Abraham promised his father (when he said): I will ask forgiveness for thee, though I own nothing for thee from Allah – Our Lord! In Thee we put our trust, and unto Thee we turn repentant, and unto Thee is the journeying...and this is a verse that Mohammed wrote later in his life)
At the moment, the one verse that I can find about love (other than loving Allah or one’s mate or the believers) that could possibly be directed towards the disbeliever, is the following:
2:177, It is not righteousness that ye turn your faces to the East and the West; but righteous is he who believeth in Allah and the Last Day and the angels and the Scripture and the prophets; and giveth wealth, for love of Him, to kinsfolk and to orphans and the needy and the wayfarer and to those who ask, and to set slaves free; and observeth proper worship and payeth the poor-due. And those who keep their treaty when they make one, and the patient in tribulation and adversity and time of stress. Such are they who are sincere. Such are the God-fearing. It’s not clear who Mohammed is talking about in ‘this’ verse. Mohammed has told us that we can’t even give love to our kinsfolk if our kinsfolk are disbelievers in Allah. It would seem logical to believe that when Mohammed talks about helping the orphans, the needy, the wayfarer: that he is only talking about those are are believers in Allah.
In the Koran I haven’t found anything that is similar to the Golden Rule; or to love your enemies; or pray for those who persecute you. Nor does it talk about loving one’s neighbor. If one is a disbeliver in Allah, it talks about hating one’s neighbor…or killing them…or at best: having them submit in humiliation to the conquering Muslims.
From one of my notes: I found the following verse to be very puzzling:
3:54 And they (the disbelievers) schemed, and Allah schemed (against them): and Allah is the best of schemers.
I endeavored to see what that verse was referring to. It was actually talking about when the Bible said that Jesus was crucified and rose from the dead.
Some online commentary about this verse:
The Qur’an says that what happened at the crucifixion was Allah’s deceptive scheme in order to make people believe that Jesus was crucified although he really wasn’t. But the consequence was that Allah led astray billions of people by that deception.
Now, I do not believe this for a minute. I am convinced that the Bible is true, that Jesus was crucified and rose from the dead, that God is truthful and trustworthy, and, in consequence that the Qur’an is wrong and did not come from God.
However, a Muslim has to contend with the implications of what the Qur’an says. And if that is indeed the character of Allah, if deceptiveness belongs to the character of the God of the Qur’an, how can a Muslim have any confidence that Muhammad and the Qur’an was not another "great deception" by Allah (the greatest of the deceivers) for the purpose of leading astray billions of people: the Muslims? Specifically, leading astray multitudes by causing them to NOT believe in the crucifixion (although it was true) and so that they may NOT believe in Jesus as the true Son of God and that they may NOT accept the salvation that the true God of the Bible offers to them?
On what basis can a Muslim have any confidence that what Allah tells him in the Qur’an is true if the Qur’an comes from Allah at all?
If God is truthful and trustworthy, then the Qur’an is not from God. On the other hand, if the Qur’an is correct in S. 3:54, 4:157 ( And because of their saying: We slew the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, Allah’s messenger – they slew him not nor crucified him, but it appeared so unto them; and lo! those who disagree concerning it are in doubt thereof; they have no knowledge thereof save pursuit of a conjecture; they slew him not for certain.) and 8:30 ( And when those who disbelieve plot against thee (O Muhammad) to wound thee fatally, or to kill thee or to drive thee forth; they plot, but Allah (also) plotteth; and Allah is the best of plotters.) then God is a deceiver. But if God is a deceiver, we cannot trust that he speaks the truth in the Qur’an. Therefore, the Qur’an destroys its own credibility and there remains only desperation for a Muslim.

The significance of the chronological order in the Koran. Some people say that Mohammed ‘mellowed’ in his last years. No, quite to the contrary. Here’s some of his writings that are said to be ones that he wrote in the later period of his life. Chapter 5 was written towards the end of the Koran. I have
wrote about some of the verses in chapter 5, earlier in this entry. Here again are some chilling verses:
5:72 They surely disbelieve who say: Lo! Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary. The Messiah (himself) said: O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. Lo! whoso ascribeth partners unto Allah, for him Allah hath forbidden paradise. His abode is the Fire. For evil-doers there will be no helpers.
5:14 And with those who say: "Lo! we are Christians," We made a covenant, but they forgot a part of that whereof they were admonished. Therefor We have stirred up enmity and hatred among them till the Day of Resurrection, when Allah will inform them of their handiwork.
5:60 Shall I tell thee of a worse (case) than theirs for retribution with Allah ? (Worse is the case of him) whom Allah hath cursed, him on whom His wrath hath fallen and of whose sort Allah hath turned some to apes and swine, (apes and swines: Mohammed is talking about the Jewish people) and who serveth idols. Such are in worse plight and further astray from the plain road
.
Chapter nine is one of the last chapters of the Koran and a very violent one. I have cited a number of them in this entry.
Paradise: Mohammed does mention paradise in a number of passages. He doesn’t mention, though, the idea of 72 virgins awaiting anyone! Yet, he does talk about virgins awaiting the believers in Allah.
I could write much more about Mohammed’s words that I have from my notes as I was reading the Koran. But this entry is long enough..except for few of my philosophical thoughts about Koran and Islam…It will be more than a few, actually *smiles*
I just found the following on a www site, and I want to keep this as a reference, also:

Thousands of "Palestinians" rally for reestablishment of caliphate
A Shafi’i manual of Islamic law that was certified in 1991 by the clerics at Al-Azhar University, one of the leading authorities in the Islamic world, as a reliable guide to Sunni orthodoxy, stipulates that “the caliph makes war upon Jews, Christians, and Zoroastrians…until they become Muslim or pay the non-Muslim poll tax.” It adds a comment by Sheikh Nuh ‘Ali Salman, a Jordanian expert on Islamic jurisprudence: the caliph wages this war only “provided that he has first invited [Jews, Christians, and Zoroastrians] to enter Islam in faith and practice, and if they will not, then invited them to enter the social order of Islam by paying the non-Muslim poll tax (jizya)…while remaining in their ancestral religions.” (‘Umdat al-Salik, o9.8).
Of course, there is no caliph today and has not been since 1924, and this is why there is no offensive jihad today — only the caliph is authorized to declare offensive jihad. That’s why jihadis today always couch their jihads as defensive, as response to various alleged atrocities by non-Muslims — because defensive jihad requires no declaration from a caliph, and becomes "obligatory for everyone" (‘Umdat al-Salik, o9.3) if a Muslim land is attacked. The end of the defensive jihad, however, is not peaceful coexistence with non-Muslims as equals: ‘Umdat al-Salik specifies that the warfare against non-Muslims must continue until "the final descent of Jesus." After that, "nothing but Islam will be accepted from them, for taking the poll tax is only effective until Jesus’ descent" (o9.8). Thus the biggest mistake non-Muslim authorities can make, when they see the list of Muslim grievances justifying their defensive jihad, is to think that all will be well and peace will come if they satisfy all the grievances. There will be no peace; there will just be more grievances.
"PA Arabs Fete ‘New Mahdi,’ Establishment of Calpihate [sic]," by David Lev for Israel National News, June 5 (thanks to Voice of the Copts):
Thousands of PA Arabs participated in a mass rally in Ramallah earlier this week calling for the establishment of the Muslim Caliphate – the worldwide Islamist government that will “bring the coming of the Mahdi.” the [sic] Muslim messiah.
The Caliphate is essentially a union of Muslim countries under the spiritual and political leadership of a single individual, the Caliph. It has been an Islamic concept since the days of Muhammad, when it was established by several of his disciples. The office of “official Caliph” has been disputed at times, with rival would-be Caliphs battling each other for the title.
The last official Caliph was Abdülmecid II, who lost the office in the aftermath of the defeat of Ottoman Turkey in World War I. The best-known Caliph in the West was Suleiman the Great, an early Ottoman sultan who, in the 16th century, conquered most of the Middle East and the Persian Gulf, even conqueri
ng parts of Europe, until he was stopped at “the Gates of Vienna.”
With many Muslim states politically and religiously divided, and dependent on the West for support, radical Islamists have been pushing for the reestablishment of the Caliphate – this time to be led by the all-powerful Mahdi, who will unite all Muslims and establish Islam as the dominant religion in the world, ruling for several years before the "Day of Judgment". Although the identity of the Mahdi is a secret, many Islamists believe that he is alive now, and several individuals have claimed the title. Many Islamists were said to have believed that Osama Bin-Laden was the Mahdi, or his right-hand man, until he was killed several years ago by U.S. forces in Afghanistan….
I am glad I believe in God, who sacrificed His sone for me and does not ask me to raise human sacrifices for Him. I am glad I am not a part of a religion that promotes sexual abuse of young girls and call it marriage. I am glad my God is NOT a deceiver. There are so many ways I am glad I have my God and not Allah. And when the “judgment day” comes that both religions speak of, I am glad my side is going to be the winner.
