I read the Koran part 3
The following are some of the verses claiming that God does not have a Son:
4:171: Allah is only one God; far be It from His glory that He should have a son, whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is His, and Allah is sufficient for a Protector.
6:101: Wonderful Originator of the heavens and the earth! How could He have a son when He has no consort, and He (Himself) created everything, and He is the Knower of all things.
9:30, And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah, and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah. That is their saying with their mouths. They imitate the saying of those who disbelieved of old. Allah (Himself) fighteth against them. How perverse are they; ( Some translations of the Koran say: may Allah destroy them!)
18:4: And warn those who say: Allah has taken a son.
19:35, It beseems not Allah that He should take to Himself a son, glory to be Him; when He has decreed a matter He only says to it "Be," and it is. (I will have to check my notes on this passage. Mohammed says that Jesus has a virgin birth; but he also said in the Koran that just as Allah created Adam by saying, "Be," and it was; I believe that Mohammed said that Allah created Jesus in that manner, also….I just stumbled across the following: 3:59 "Lo! the likeness of Jesus with Allah is as the likeness of Adam. He created him of dust, then He said unto him: Be! and he is." Hmn..so wondering how to reconcile ‘that’ with a virgin birth… )
25:2: He, Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and Who did not take to Himself a son, and Who has no associate in the kingdom, and Who created everything, then ordained for it a measure.
The Koran also literally says the Lord Jesus did not die on the cross. It claims that He appeared to have died on the cross, but He was not killed nor was He crucified. Allah just took Jesus to heaven. The Koran goes on to state that on the day of resurrection Jesus Christ will be a witness against Christians! Jesus will witness against Christians…such foolishness!
Association
According to Islam the worst sin a person can commit is shirk. This sin is also called association. This means associating Allah with a man. The very heart of Christianity that the Lord is the Son of God is the worst sin in Islam! According to the Koran, Allah forbids heaven to anyone who commits this sin and their abode is hell without any help."
Another proclamation from Mohammed about how the Christian will be entering hell-fire:
5:72, "Certainly they disbelieve who say: Surely Allah, He is the Messiah, son of Marium; and the Messiah said: O Children of Israel! serve Allah, my Lord and your Lord. Surely whoever associates (others) with Allah, then Allah has forbidden to him the garden, and his abode is the fire; and there shall be no helpers for the unjust."
I just stumbled on the passage about Abraham( they are presented below): apparently he didn’t realized that he was a Muslim, for the Torah wasn’t revealed to him. And we have to understand, when Mohammed talks about the Torah, it’s not the same Books from the Bible that we know. Why? Because Moses was a Muslim, Mohammed claims. And Moses presented Islam to his followers, but it was later corrupted and became Judaism. Talk about conspiracies, huh! *smiles*
003.065 O People of the Scripture! Why will ye argue about Abraham, when the Torah and the Gospel were not revealed till after him ? Have ye then no sense ?
003.066 Lo! ye are those who argue about that whereof ye have some knowledge: Why then argue ye concerning that whereof ye have no knowledge ? Allah knoweth. Ye know not.
003.067 Abraham was not a Jew, nor yet a Christian; but he was an upright man who had surrendered (to Allah), and h
e was not of the idolaters.
Rambling on, like the Koran does…..here’s an interesting verse from the Koran:
5:21, "O my people! Go into the holy land which Allah hath ordained for you. Turn not in flight, for surely ye turn back as losers." That verse is actually referring to the Jews! Mohammed was saying that Allah has ordained Israel for them. So many Muslims just don’t quite agree with Mohammed’s thinking in that verse! But many of the Islamic scholars do say that Allah did indeed ordain Israel for the Jews. There are actually others verses in the Koran that do confirmed that Mohammed believe that Allah had given Israel to the Jews. So Mohammed was very clear on ‘that’ point!
I guess now is a good time to talk about how Mohammed was sent messages to fight the unbelievers. (Those who don’t accept Islam)
2:98, "Who is an enemy to Allah, and His angels and His messengers, and Gabriel and Michael! Then, lo! Allah (Himself) is an enemy to the disbelievers." Since the Jews who didn’t believe in the Koran would be considered disbelievers by Muslims, apparently Allah is an enemy to the disbelieving Jews….as He (Allah) would be to Christians too. Why? Because they are disbelievers! *smiles* The Koran really seems to have a crude formula when dealing with the Jews and Christians: They are disbelievers; consequently they are transgressors. Their punishment is to be either subjected to the Muslims and pay a submission tax; or be killed. It’s hard to believe that a religion of peace would think in such simplistic, soulless, heartless terms.
9:29, "Fight against such of those who have been given the Scripture as believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, and forbid not that which Allah hath forbidden by His messenger, and follow not the Religion of Truth, until they pay the tribute readily, being brought low." Contrary to what is apparently believed by most of the political leaders of the United States, mainstream Islam preaches and conducts campaigns of killing the transgressors: those who reject the Koran, Islam, and consequently, Allah. Islam has not been hijacked. All we have to understand is that Muslims who are following the Koran’s teachings, are commanded by their prophet, Mohammed, to fight the disbelievers:

And the fighting of Muslims against the Jews and Christians is mainstream Islam. It’s not some kind of extremist group that are trying to kill and subjugate everyone that doesn’t believe in Allah. The religion of Islam is in and of itself: an extremist religion. By ignoring ‘that,’ puts our country at greater risk by Muslims who only desire to follow what the Koran tells them to do. Thankfully, though, only a very small fraction of Muslims actually follows the dictates of Mohammed when it comes to fighting the disbelievers.

The Koran, although said to be a perfect text and the ultimate and divine word of Allah, contains many contradictions. Islam deals with this through an Islamic doctrine called the Abrogator and the Abrogated, which means that verses that were revealed to Muhammad later in his life that contradict verses that were revealed to him at an earlier time, are abrogated, or considered void by the later verses. http://www.islamreview.com/articles/quransdoctrine.shtml
With the understanding that there are many contradictions in the Koran and that the later verses abrogate the earlier conflictingverses, the next task is to determine the chronological timeline of the revelation of verses. This is not very easy because the Koran is not in chronological order in terms of when Allah commands were revealed to Muhammad.
There is almost universal opinion amongst Islamic scholars though, that Sura 9 was either the very last or the second to last Sura revealed to Muhammad http://www.answering-islam.org/Silas/jihad.htm. This is relevant because the command to kill and subjugate non-believers is located most prominently in Sura 9.
Two verses, in particular, in Sura 9 most clearly sanction and command violence against non-believers.
The Verse of the Sword (Sura 9:5) according to many Muslim scholars, is the most common abrogating verse in the Koran. http://www.answering-islam.org/Silas/abrogation.htm#_Toc155617277 It states, So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captive and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the Jizya, leave their way free to them.
Sura 9:29 states, Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.
The Jizya is a tax that infidels would be required to pay if they chose to live as second class citizens rather than die.
These two verses in conjunction explain how Muslims must treat infidels. They must first offer a choice: to either convert to Islam, pay the extortion tax and live as second class citizens, or die. If infidels refuse to convert or subjugate themselves, violence is compelled in order to further Islamic domination
Islam teaches that the Koran is the direct word of God (Allah) as revealed through his prophet on earth, Muhammad, over a 23 year period in the seventh century. Unlike the Torah, the Bible and other religious texts, the Koran is said to be the express word of Allah and every directive is an order from Allah. The Koran is understood to be a perfect text that does not teach through morals and parables but rather through direct commands to its followers.
There are verses of the Koran that are often quoted to promote the idea that Islam is a religion of peace. The most common of them are probably the two listed below.
Let there be no compulsion in religion 2:256
Therefore expound openly what thou art commanded, and turn away from those who join false gods with Allah- 15:94
Unfortunately, these verses are abrogated by Sura 9:5, because there is overwhelming agreement amongst Islamic scholars that these peaceful verses were revealed to Muhammad a very long time before the ninth Sura. http://www.answering-islam.org/Silas/jihad.htm. Therefore, anyone quoting these verses to prove that Islam does not promote violence is either ignorant or practicing taqiyya in order to purposefully deceive.
Muslims, like followers of every other religion, often choose how much of their religion they will practice. Many Muslims do not advocate for, or adhere to, many of the tyrannical and/or violent mandates of Sharia law, including: the death penalty for apostasy, the subjugation of women, and stoning as punishment for adultery. A majority of Muslims disregard those mandates that conflict with their morals and their desired way of life. (Editorial note: I do have to say that Sharia law isn’t in the Koran. It is derived from the Koran. I have to make that distinction cause my study is only pertaining to the Koran, not other books that say what Mohammed might had said, and didn’t make it into the Koran. For instance, there is a book that is called the Hadith. It was written by Mohammed’s disciples after Mohammed died. It talks much more extensively than the Koran does, about what Mohammed’s beliefs and actions. However, some of Mohammed’s disciples interpretation or validity of their writings, can be questioned. But, if one if a dedicated follower of Mohammed, or simply want to know more about Mohammed and the Koran, one would want to know as much as possible about his life and times. And books like the Hadith can be a great help for many different things like the history and events which were part of Mohammed’s life…which can shed light on many of the passages that are within the Koran )
Many Muslims though, including the governments of entire countries (Saudi Arabia, Iran,etc), strictly follow every directive in the Koran, including the call to kill non-believers in order to spread the goal of the entire world living under Sharia law and Islamic control. (Editorial note: I would make a correction to this passage. Since my od entry is a study in what the Koran says,(and my sometimes passionate opinions) there isn’t a goal in the Koran that has the world living under what is term Sharia law. The goal by Mohammed is to preach Allah and the revelation of the true religion, Islam. And we could say, that naturally enough, given Mohammed’s beliefs, he felt that Islam, the true religion, should dominate the world. Although Mohammed may believe in many things within the Sharia law, since ‘it’ wasn’t written by Mohammed, (actually, we are told in other writings that Mohammed wrote, that are not part of the Koran, he did express ideas that have become part of the Sharia law) the ‘law’ is open to interpretation by many different scholars and judges that enforced the law.)
The Muslims that practice fundamental Islam (Editorial note: since the word, fundamental, in usually interpreted in a bad or pejorative way by the media, I would substitute the word, mainstream, for fundamental) see the United States and Israel, and the allure of individual freedoms and liberty in these societies, as the largest obstacles to worldwide Islamic dominance. Short of sacrificing our freedoms and liberties and adopting Sharia law, there will never be anything we can do that will stop fundamental Muslims from trying to destroy our culture and way of life using any method available. t color=”#000000″>Editorial note: I think that what the author says is a very pessimistic viewpoint. It may be very difficult or impossible to stop all terrorists attacks in the country, just like we will never stop all murder or crimes in this country, but there are ways where we could make our country much more secure against possible terrorists that come into our country. One way for this country to make it more secure would be to radically amend or modify the Koran, taking out all of the violence parts that preach killing of Jews and Christians. Muslims living in this country would have to agree to do so. But it would take acts of great courage for Muslims to publicly pronounce that they don’t believe that everything that Mohammed wrote in the Koran wasn’t from Allah. The Muslims that said that would probably be under a death sentence and may live the rest of their life in fear of being killed. Another thing that would have to be done is something that our country doesn’t have the will to do: extensively interview any Muslims coming into this country and try to determine if they are a threat. Adopt the strategy that Israel uses on people coming to their country. We have to get rid of the politically cowardliness that is killing us.
