Another day in paradise~

After Jesus and Joseph had retired for the night, Jesus stayed up all night, communing with his father.  Jesus was in tears half the night. But Jesus was also very happy for Joseph.

When Joseph woke up in the morning, he was met by an aroma that spoke of home. As he opened his eyes, he wondered if his eyes were deceiving him. Was that his angel, preparing his breakfast in the fireplace?

"Mary is that you?"

"Why yes, Joseph. I figured that you must have been dying for one of my home-cook meals by now."

"Um. You are a sight for sore eyes", he said as he held her in his arms. "But how did you get here? Jesus? Right?"

"Right. And he just left moments ago. He said that he wanted us two honeymooners to have paradise all to ourselves, on this side of paradise."

"Ah, well, us two dreamy lovers will make good use of our  time here."

As Joseph held her, gazed into her eyes, a tear escaped from his eye. She meant the world to him.

"Ah, Joseph, our love often times brings tears to me eyes, too."

"Yes, I know.  Ok.  I don’t intend to let go of you all weekend. And my heart is bursting with joy, thinking of the eye-popping sites that you’ll visit.  You’ll see a bit of what Jesus meant when he told us, ‘Eyes have not seen; ears have not heard; nor has it so much as dawned upon you two who loves my father in heaven: what paradise has in store for you two.’"

Mary excitedly said, "I remember when he said that to us, a few years ago. He was speaking to us, rather than to all of the believers: about being together here.  Ah, isn’t Jesus simply divine?"

"Ah, Mary.  Your son is the light of the world. And he lit up paradise just for us.  Come on, let me show you wonders beyond imagination."

As Joseph led her by the hand, she was surprised by the sparkle in Joseph’s eyes, the jolliness of his being and the spunk in his walking.  He was young, again!  "Joseph, what’s happened to you?"

"Isn’t it great, Mary!  Paradise has rejunevated my entire body & soul." He let out a boisterous laugh!  He suddenly stopped for a moment, faced her, saying, "Mary, I think that I will die of happiness, with my soul filled with mountains of peace, love and joy."  He then giggled and said,  Come on, let’s not waste a moment in this magical land that has been gifted to us."   ‘Ah,’ he thought.  ‘She had no idea what’s in store for her.’ And he giggled again.

"Joseph, can I tell you a secret?"

"Ah, sure."

Jesus just happened to have taken me here, before; and I know what’s on the other side of the mountains. It surely is another kind of wonderland. But, I have my own personal wonderland that I’m holding onto; and I would like to share him in private, in this land of paradise."

Joseph was pleasantly surprised at Mary’s information. "Tell me, Mary: why did Jesus take you here, before now?"

"It was on one of your extended trips where you were out of town for awhile. He was having a hard time knowing how to deal with his friend, Mary. So, he wanted to come to someplace secluded, like here, for awhile."

"Life is always full of surprises, huh? So, did Jesus show you all the spots that they especially created: for eternal lovers?"

"Ah, no.  He must have shown you them and figured that you would show me."

"Right you are, Mary. Well, there’s no time like the present. Let us be off."

Joseph came to the: River of Love. "Mary, let’s rest a bit, taking in the breath-taking scenery filled with every conceivable fruit tree, herb tree, and flowers that will fill your heart’s delight."

And they rested in the Lord. They gave thanks for his beauty; for his mercy; for his love; for each other; for paradise! Both of them sang their praise to the Lord till day washed into night. And the stars serenaded them with divine music; while the full moon lit up their faces. They held each other through-out the night….as they hungered to receive love from the other: that they both knew was coming to an end.

"Mary, my sweet Mary." Joseph said as he slowly shook his head, took a deep breath, saying, "Our love will go on forevermore. Even when that day comes when I depart from you, I’ll always be loving you."

"I know, my sweet Joseph. And even when I can’t see you, I will see be embracing our love."

They both smiled. They were still crazy in love with each other.

Jesus suddenly appeared.  "Hi mom, dad."

"Hi son.  What a grand place you have here," Joseph mused.

"Thanks, dad.  Are you ready for an even grander place to be?"

"Yes, son.  I’m ready for the journey home."

Jesus was himself a bit surprised at Joseph’s revelation. "You knew that you were going home?"

"Sure, Jesus. Your father told me."

Jesus smiled, thinking how the father was full of surprises. "Ok.  Before I escort you home, while don’t you two say your farewells, for now: while I pack the donkey."

"So, Mary, if you ever need to talk to your loving man, I’ll be around."

"Ok. Joseph. I’ll be talking to you, then."

They hugged and kissed with all the intensity of paradise!

Jesus walked back to them, saying, "Ok. Mary: I got everything pack. I’ll be right back for you.  Ready, Joseph? Just take my hand."

Mary watched in wonder…..as they travelled home.

Where Jesus would take us is his secret. Must be to some beautiful places we cannot imagine where. 🙂 I cannot imagine it if Jesus simply appear at my home and preparing breakfast for me. Must be an odd sight. he, he, he I remember the story where Jesus washed the feet of HIS disciple … I would cry if he would clean my feet that way. I think I should let my hair grow long and when HE comes

How lovely to move on to heaven like that..to be escorted by Jesus with only the feeling of joy and happiness knowing that one goes to Paradise where there is no more tears and everything is beautiful! How nice if the rest of us human beings would feel like this when it is our turn to more on. Perhaps, it’s possible if we have enough confidence in our faith. What do you think, Bri? Your previous stories somehow always gave me joy/peace when I read them but this one has to be the best so far. Praise the Lord.

I can only dream of the day when Jesus takes me by my hand and accompanies me home. I remember you telling me that Heaven has mansions. Getting on in years I think of heaven often. I know Joseph will cherish his journey home. I can’t wait to hear about what he saw. We are going to hear about it right Bri???? Loving this story of paradise…. Keep it coming..

Always a pleasure to read your journal over and over again. It inspires me more and more to write for my Lord, but sometimes it is not easy to turn your mind into words on any pages of your journal; it takes time to consider what kinds of contents you are going to fill in within that journal. I need the Lord to guide me just as you write about HIM in here. 🙂
