An adventureous Dinner~

Jesus said to his mom, "How deliciously charcoal that fillet was!"  Mary Madeline echoed Jesus’ praise!

"My children, you are very kind. But we all know that if it wasn’t for Jesus, this fillet would be inedible."

That’s when Mary started in with his thousand questions.  "How humbling it must be to have Jesus as your son. But has it been difficult to keep his divine identity secret for all of these years?"

"No, Mary. Because the father wanted him to him a normal life, before he would begin his mission of giving the gift of Good News to those who would hear him.  The father knew how difficult it would be for the three years of public life when he was constantly hounded for healings or attacked by his fellows brothers as being a lunatic, a heretic, a blasphemer, one who was possessed.."

"But Jesus surely couldn’t keep from performing his lifelong ministry of healing, however discreet he may have been, yes?"

"Yes, Mary. Only the ones who were close to the father suspected that Jesus was more than a mere carpenter. And since Jesus would oftentimes tell those who he touched and were healed, ‘Praise God that he used me as his healing instrument,’ that’s what most people did: they praised God for touching his people."

"I do remember some cases, though, when I lived here, when Jesus raised to life some children who had suddenly died. And there were cases of lepers being mysteriously ‘cleaned.’  There were even reports of the sick and dying being healed when Jesus walked by hospitals! What did your soul experience at those divine interventions moments of your son?"

Jesus’s heart was smiling at this ever-musing women.

"I will admit that in my human nature, I became a bit concerned for Jesus. What if they discovered who he really was? Would he ever be able to live again without being mobbed? But upon reflection, I knew that he had been infused from conception with wisdom. And that his every decision was made in conjunction with his father. So, Jesus’s will to heal was the father’s will to heal.  And Jesus always knew what the future held for him. And as you know, Jesus can be a great actor."

"He sure can." Mary Madeline smiled.   "Surely you knew that Jesus was beyond the entire drama of having me come back to him?"

"Yes, indeed. Not at the time when I spoke to the Rabbi about you. But the father later made all things know to me."

Jesus smiled as he said to his mom, "Yes, the father and I never keep anything from you for very long. You are so blessed, mother. That’s why we refused you nothing." Jesus continued, "Mother, I know that you will want to clean up. And that will also put on hold anymore of Mary’s wanderings for the night." Jesus and Mary went out to sit in the moonlight.

Jesus’s mother Mary was still reflecting on Jesus’ recent birthday party.  She had invited the rabbi who had hired Mary Madeline for tutoring the students.  He certainly portrayed the Father’s wisdom. For an hour his listened to Jesus’s stories. His listened to the replies of Jesus’s questions. And among the two dozen or so women, men and children that had been invited, there were some notable scholars here. Scholars whose reputation of wisdom were widely known throught the land.  Yet, all these scholars were puzzled by who Jesus really was  They rationized among themselves that Jesus was surely bless beyond most men. Surely because of his sanity, God rewarded with much fruit.  It would never occur to any of them that he could possibly be the one that they had been waiting for, for centuries, to save them.  So, that’s why the rabbi thought that it was the right time to ask Jesus the question:

Jesus prepared himself for the rabbi’s question. "Yes, father, he is indeed bless among men. Another one of your chosen ones that you choose to reward with the truth."

The rabbi was trembling a bit, as he asked Jesus, "Are you the one that we have been waiting for?"

Jesus looked into his soul, which already inherited the truth. Touching his arm, he said, "I am."

The rabbi closed his eyes and profusely thanked God!

Jesus knew that even though he just have made a public proclamation of who he was, like his disciples that he would later choose to be his clost companions, they heard, but did not understand….till after he went back home to the father.

Mother Mary stored up all of these memories in her heart. "How blessed am I among women, she loudly pronounced!"

Jesus and Mary who were talking outside heard the proclamation.  Jesus said, "She’s like that all day long, wildly exclaiming the praises of God."
 </span>
"Um. I know the sentiment," Mary said.  "But I wondered Jesus, at the time when the rabbi asked you that question, did you think of how one day he may publicly proclaim who you are?"

"Me and the father had thought of all ramifications, eons ago."

"Conversing in abstracts again, huh Jesus? That means that you don’t wanna answer my question."

"How astute you are, Mary. The father and I are always amazed by you."

"Oh boy," Jesus thought.  She starting to think……here it comes..

"So, Jesus, you and the father are one. And since God is love, and God can only love, he deeply loves me, like he loves all of his children, Amen?"

"Amen, Mary." He was squirming again, while that his father was again having the time of his life.

"So since the father deeply loves me and have given the gift of you to me, if I may humbly say that, don’t you think that the gift of me is meant to be shared by you in way that will greatly glorify his name?"

"Yes, Mary. And he indeed is very happy to see us together glorifying him."  He knew that that wouldn’t stop Mary’s tenacious way of satifying her quest. So she would let her have her way.

"Jesus, that’s not exactly what I was getting at. The gift of love between two souls are meant to be shared in ways that glorify God, as in Genesis 18, verse 8 ‘Now the Lord God said, It is not good (sufficient, satisfactory) that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper meet (suitable, adapted, complementary) for him.’ Surely Jesus, the father had me in mind when he inspired man to record that. And don’t we know that the father was referring to me as being your helper?"

Jesus pondered on the purity of Mary’s soul. He was speechless. He could only smile. Although he did say the father, "I’ll get you back for this. I know that you put her up to this, again…"

In the meantime, Mother Mary was glued once again, to the great adventure outside.  Maybe the father really does want Jesus to be married……Mary’s soul was soaring.

Bri, do you think that 2,000 years ago, Jesus had a birthday cake? Wondering whether you find it odd that birthday celebrations were unheard of in my old village. It wasn’t a tradition for sure and they were probably too illiterate to know their birthdays in the first place. 🙂 Always a joy to read about probable scenes in Jesus’ time and especially that of his family and the girl of Hislife or His dream as a human?

Yes, my email was royally hacked a few months ago, and I was NOT in Madrid. Never did get your emails. Where are you sending them? Hope all is well in Boston-land.
