I haven’t written a political entry that were all my own words, in over 2 and a half years. And I don’t know if I really will save this entry. *smiles*
I think a politician, nowadays: has its synonym with: causing one to be nauseous; is a deceiver; manipulator; enemy of freedom; self-serving. There are a few exceptions to the ‘rule,’ nowadays, but only a relatively few on the National scene: are exempt from corruption.
It’s painful to think of much farther America can sink: politically, economically, morally, spiritually….and in a vision that America has some 200+ years ago…which I will paste a bit of their vision, now:

That vision has actually long sense ceize to become a possible remedy in referring to altering our government…Cause there is no way that the people can any longer alter or abolish our government. So, we can say that the Declaration was a necessary and a great document: but it no longer applies to our time…certainly not in altering or abolishing our government..
I want like to journey thru time, when our president spoke in a foreign land:
President Barack Obama stated at a press conference in Turkey last week (Wednesday, 15 April 2009 07:30) that we Americans “do not consider ourselves a Christian nation, or a Muslim nation, but rather, a nation of citizens who are, uh, bound by a set of values.”
I copied the following from an article (with the link below this article) that I got online:
"There is a sense in which this writer agrees with him. Unlike England at the time of our nation’s founding, we do not have an official state church. And I don’t want one — I don’t want Barack Obama to be the head of the church.
"But that’s not what the U.S. Supreme Court meant when, in Church of the Holy Trinity v. United States, 143 U.S. 437 (1892), they held that “this is a Christian nation.” They meant that this nation was founded on biblical principles, and that those who brought these biblical principles to this land and who implemented those principles in our system of government were for the most part professing Christians who were actively involved with Christian churches. In my own book Christianity and the Constitution: The Faith of Our Founding Fathers (Baker Book House, 1987, 2008), I demonstrate that at least 51 of the 55 delegates to the Constitutional Convention were members of Christian churches, and that leading American political figures in the founding era quoted the Bible far more than any other source.

"Besides denying that America is a Christian nation in his April 6 news conference in Turkey, President Obama told the Turkish Parliament on the same day: “We will convey our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much over the centuries to shape the world — including in my own country.” Arguably, this is a true statement — if by his “own country” Obama was referring to Kenya!
"But seriously, the suggestion that Islam has shaped America in any substantial way is ludicrious. As Robert Spencer asks,
Were there Muslims along Paul Revere’s ride, or standing next to Patrick Henry when he proclaimed, "Give me liberty or give me death"? Where there Muslims among the framers or signers of the Declaration of Independence, which states that all men — not just Muslims, as Islamic law would have it — are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, including life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? Were there Muslims among those who drafted the Constitution and vigorously debated its provisions, or among those who enumerated the Bill of Rights, which guarantees — again in contradiction to the tenets of Islamic law — that there should be no established national religion, and that the freedom of speech should not be infringed?
"The primary contact our Founding Fathers had with Islam occurred during their struggles with the Barbary pirates, who from 1500-1800 carried over a million European Christians — including some Americans — into Muslim slavery. For centuries the Knights of Malta protected Europe from the Barbary pirates, but after their demise the European powers decided that paying tribute to the Barbary rulers in exchange for protection was easier and cheaper than fighting them. But this galled the Americans. In 1786, while Thomas Jefferson and John Adams were in Europe, they asked the ambassador from Tripoli by what right Tripoli could claim tribute from nations which had done his country no injury. Jefferson and Adams reported the ambassador’s response:
"It was written in their Koran that all nations which had not acknowledged the Prophet [Mohammed] were sinners, whom it was the right and duty of the faithful [Muslims] to plunder and enslave; and that every muslim who was slain in this warfare was sure to go to paradise.
"When Jefferson became president in 1801, he refused to pay tribute to the Barbary states, and Tripoli, Algiers, and Tunis declared war on the United States. "Clearly, Islamic influence on the United States was minimal, and what little influence there was, was mostly negative.
"Much of the Muslim world has a negative view of the United States. Sadly, President Obama seems to think the Muslim world will warm up to our country if our president shares their negative view. But the lessons of history clearly demonstrate that the world’s leading super-power is never popular. But to what country do the tired and poor of the world seek to immigrate — Afghanistan? What nation’s constitution do other nations look to as a model — China’s? And when other nations are stricken with disaster, to what nation do they turn for help — Sudan?
"No, they temporarily set aside their “Yankee Go Home” placards and turn to America, the most generous nation in the history of the world, for help that is seldom denied. And America’s generosity is a response learned from our Christian heritage.

I think that one’s past can be very instructive as to how one just might behave in the future. That was exactly what I thought when I read about the following information:
Bill Ayers, has had a 20 year relationship with Obama, and continues to be an Obama supporter. Ayers, shown standing on the American flag, was a ferocious, violent, revolutionary Marxist in his halcyon days as a Weatherman leader. He and his Weatherman bombers were enamored of Ho Chi Minh, Che Guevara, Fidel Castro, Mao Tse-tung — indeed, all the murderous heroes on the Left. Referring to the Weatherman members in August 1969, he said (according to the FBI): "We’re revolutionary Communists."
Castro endorsed Obama
Farrakhan: who has drawn attention for calling Judaism a "gutter religion" and suggesting crack cocaine might have been a CIA plot to enslave blacks: endorsed Obama.
The Communist party endorsed Obama.
Dictator Hugo Chaves endorsed Obama.
Reverend Wright who is anti-white, anti-America, who was Obama’s pastor for 20 years: endorsed Obama. Wright famoulsy said to his spirited congregation: that God dams this country. So there won’t be any mistake as to what I just wrote: I didn’t take the Lord’s name in vain. I was just quoting the reverend.

Those are just a few of the hi-lites of Obama’s relationships and scary endorsements: that just didn’t sit right with me. And they indicated to me, that his path was one that wasn’t good for America. It certainly wouldn’t be a path that America has been journeying on, for over 200 years. It seems to be a logical thought to me: that when dictators and socialists are endorsing a candidate: they expect the candidate to take a path that will please them.
And I think that we have to say..or I will say it: Obama certainly has please many of his supporters; not all, though. But no one can please everyone.
Of course, there always are those behind the scenes that may have great power to influence candidates. We can probably say: virtually all politicians, are beholden to somebody(s) that helps ‘them’ to attain office. And maybe Obama just happen to be in the right spot at the right time, when his Obama’s political philosophy: was a dream of his about to come true. Yeah, maybe everything was in place for a socialist to push thru his philosophy, thanks to those behind the scenes; and thanks to those presidents that came before him! So many elements helped him gain the presidency: we wanted change for changes sake; we as a people are terribly ill-formed about so many issues in the world; the left-wing media promotes their agenda, which so many people simply accept to be true; racism on the ‘left’ abounded in America; apathy abounded in America; political correctness has the republican candidate saying that Obama would be a good president. Perhaps, it was all ‘set up’ for Obama to bring about this new vision of his; a vision very different, as I say: than the first 233 years of America.
Oh, and if there is such a thing as: the final nail in one’s coffin for a country, it will be the Illegal Immigration Bill. The politicians must try to pass that bill before November’s election; else many Democrats will be retiring from office. If they pass that bill, though: Ah, Democrats will rule our country for life! For it’s estimated that there are something like 30 million illegal aliens in our country. No one really knows how many there are. If the bill passes: they automatically become legal citizens, and will undoubtably be beholden to their fellow democratic sisters and brothers. And the song that was sung, sarcastically, during the Great Depression of the 1930’s & ’40’s, can be sung again: Happy days are here again." *smiles*
America may soon become unrecognizable! But Jesus is always with us. That makes things bearable. And we will always have the cherish ideas and memories of America’s greatness & beauty! *smiles*
Even though I am not writng in my diary for a short while, I read my Favs., and if impressed with an entry, I say so! This was a great informative entry, Bri, and you state many of my beliefs! We were formed as “One Nation under God, were we not? And, you are so correct in stating that other nations of the world turn to America for help, and it is given! One Nation Under God. We, that believe in God, need to pray for our country. God left the Jewish people to stew in their own juices quite a few times until they turned back to Him. I am afraid that that is what He is doing to the United States.

Thanks for sharing this Bri. Its a very scary situation that our country is facing. I have heard of some of the issues you talked about but there were some I didn’t. What really scared me that I didn’t know about was Obama stating he does not concider us a Christian nation Will his next move be to take the words One Nation Under God out of our pledge of legends. This country is in for a roller coaster ride down the road. and the people who will suffer the most are our children and grandchildren Spending all this money is just a quick fix but down the road the deficit will be off the wall..

We have the same problems with illegal immigrants being used/legalised so that they could vote. Let us hope that things will turn out good somehow. In my country now, there have been some positive changes for the benefit of Christians (which I won’t go into detail now) and I could only deduct that it is the result of divine intervention. Praise the Lord for that. God bless us all.

RYN, I disagree with that ‘totally new blood”. The reason being. If we want to (and we do) teach the politicians a lesson , a VOTING lesson, then we need to OUST the ones that voted for the health insurance bill and leave those in that voted against it. That’s the way they will learn that the VOTERS speak and the voters have power. IF we vote them ALL out , then they may as well votehow they like and not listen to the voters anyway. So that is why DEMS are out this coming election and REPUBS are in . IF it was the other way around –that dems voted against it, then it would be the other way around. For me and my city, we are kicking those dems out and kicking them out good in the next elections.

RYN How about we compromise? I don’t have faith in either party but I know that they need to see (like children) that their vote affects their career. The only way they will see that clearly is if we vote all the dems out and the repubs in this election. Next election, then yes, vote EVERYONE out.

I agree with most everything that you have pointed out here. To put it simple: Our government is like a runaway freight train, with no one to slow it down or stop it, or anyone who even cares enough to realize just what is happening to our country in the meantime! We have got to find someone in politics to finally say “Enough already”!!

RYN. We disagree. Just wait and see, re: your “they won’t vote the incumbents out”. Just wait and see in November. No one thought that the Dems would lose Massachusetts either , did they? Just the same way, they are going to lose EVERY seat….We will vote incumbents out the same way that Massachusetts voted Brown IN.
