What if OD was a movie…?

What if OD was a movie? I think about that sometimes and even have ideas of who I would cast to play each of us if I were the director of the summer blockbuster. I haven’t necessarily picked actors that looked like each of us so much as those who I felt captured the essence of who each of us are. Of course that’s based entirely on my own opinion which is based on the very limited knowledge I have from reading diaries and not even knowing anyone for real. I do, however, have a very good imagination that fattens everything out quite nicely.

For myself, I would select Maureen Stapleton if she were in her younger years. She’s too old to play me now but she has that sort of confounded by the world demeanor that I sometimes feel inside. Although she is older than Margaret, I would have Susan Sarandon play her role. I think Lace could be beautifully played by Frances McDormand. Quis ut Deus could be played by none other than Sir Anthony Hopkins of course. I could see all sorts of interesting segues and cuts moving from life to life. OD could definitely make a good slice of life piece.

Oh well, enough silliness, I’ve got to get some sleep.
