We Used to Not Get Along

My son’s Saturday radio show is going to be streaming online which is pretty exciting. Now my family will be able to hear it, except my mother who doesn’t have a computer. She had one for awhile, we also got her a WebTV box for a time, but it just didn’t click for her. Oh well. Anyway, it’s amazing what you can do in high school these days. I don’t even think we had a radio station back when I was in high school… no, I’m SURE we didn’t.

I worked the last couple of days and felt much better than I did earlier in the week. I think I’ve pretty much recovered enough to work but was very tired by the time I came home from work yesterday. It will take a little longer to get all my energy back I guess, but it’s wonderful that I’m not in any real pain anymore.

My husband and son went to Great America Fright Fest last night. I was going to go but just felt too worn out. I came home, did a little OD reading then fell asleep, only waking up to watch Joan of Arcadia (I slept through the first 15 minutes) then another Indian movie, Agni Varsha (which was pretty good but very dramatic).

I am very happy to say that life is a bit boring at this very moment. Isn’t that wonderful?! Boring is good, it means nothing horrible is going on. Good stuff is in the works, however. I made reservations to go see my Mom again in December. My daughter will be accompanying me as well. My brother is buying her ticket as a Christmas present and the three of us will visit the Keys for a day or two. My Mom is delighted that we are averaging a visit every two months, usually it has been about three times a year but she is getting older and that makes me more and more aware of the value of my time with her. We had a wonderful bonding time when I was there in October. I worked hard cleaning her cabinets, drawers and refrigerator, but it was well worth it because she was so appreciative. We also spent much time looking at old photo albums and talking about past friends and relatives. It was a terrific visit and I find myself looking forward to the next one more than ever.

yep, boring can be good at times. Some people just never grasp a computer. My mom would like one, but my dad doesn’t.
